Objectives:
• To get familiar with aerial photos and satellite images
Data:
• Download one High-Resolution aerial photo of 2011 in the Harrisonburg area from the ArcGIS Portal
• Download one Landsat8 satellite from ESRI Living Atlas
• Optional: Other Resource:

Steps:
1. Start a new project in ArcGIS Pro, name your project Lab2, and save your project in your OneDrive folder.
2. In ArcGIS Pro Catalog/ Portal/ArcGIS Online, search Image in Harrisonburg (owner is weixx_jmu) and drag the photo to the map.
3. View the photo in the Map View. Change the Band Combination to Color Infrared on the Menu Bar/Raster Layer.
4. Check Raster Layer/DRA (Dynamic Range Adjustment) and zoom in to different locations.
DRA will use only statistics calculated from the pixels displayed on your screen for the display. This will brighten the display for darker visualizations, and for brighter visualizations, it will reduce the brightness.
5. Right-click the Photo layer, open Properties/Source, and view the raster data information.
6. In ArcGIS Pro Catalog, search Landsat in Living Atlas, and drag the Multispectral Landsat (owner is Esri) image to the map.
7. Right-click the Landsat image layer and View Metadata.
8. On the Menu/Data, click Processing Templates and choose Natural Color.
9. Click Create Chart and choose Spectral Profile. Add two points on the map and compare their spectral profiles.
10. In the Processing Templates, select Color Infrared.
11. Enable Time and make sure the latest Landsat image is selected.
12. In Menu/Image Service Layer, check Swipe. Compare the Landsat image (Color Infrared) against the Harrisonburg image (Color Infrared).
