Best Lorcana content i've seen!! Really love the commentary and thought process behind things as well as viewers being able to see the hand and close ups of the hands.
This is really excellent. Thank you for making this. Great commentary. Great camera work. This is the best gameplay video I have seen for streaming since the close of pixelborn. Please do more!
game 1 - 12 + 6 = 18. if GS had quested with the buckys on the brawl turn, they would have won. no reason not to quest there too since a 5 mana Maui to kill a single Bucky would have been a very inefficient turn + Diablo would have lived.
After watching the video I just want to reiterate the earlier thank you and let you know that this is genuinely the best Lorcana content I've seen, hands down (and I've consumed all the Lorcana 😂). Massive congratulations, really looking forward to the next lab! This content is perfect to fill the void left by PB for those of us who have no real means of competitive practice now. Thank you! 🙏🏻 Also, massively appreciate the editing and camera work! I see you guys have put overlays on the cards to make them visible and I salute you!
We super appreciate you family. This is the type of response we were hoping for and how we wanted the content to be received. We understand there is definitely a void in content right now and want to try and provide the community with value added gameplay.
This is the first paper play video content (other than the tournament streams) that I've enjoyed watching. Good work! I like the zoomed in hand cams and the card highlights, as well as the strategic commentary. My inner audio nerd is dying with the mid audio quality (Humble's mic is slightly worse than RMB's but both are a little rough; would be great to mix & process the individual mic tracks and edit in the background music, which I am sure is in your lavish production budge). Hope y'all can keep this up!
@@R__M__BRU-vid better source recordings help but you can do a lot to rescue mediocre recordings. I'd offer to help but I have zero experience editing & mixing audio for video (just some podcasts & music). I haven't used them myself, but I've seen multiple recommendations for Rode Wireless Go II mics for decent quality and easy-to-use clip-on wireless mics, for an upgrade over cheap lav mics.
Decks wishlist: - Blue-steel: I am probably going to playing something like Sky's list w/o wheel but would love to see a wheel build) - Red-purple: can it do more than flynn/sisu/castle? - yellow-red yellow-green and (either songs or mufasa of each) to see how those are holding up - topic: which aggro deck has the best chance to fly under the top meta contenders for texas/toronto/etc, if any?
Nice video, good editing. LOVE LOVE LOVE the focus on the hand so I get better context into the plays. Sound quality was a little off but more than good enough. I do think the open discussion during the game makes it not so fair as a straight up matchup. If you could re-record audio for context afterward that would be much preferred but obviously that does take more time and effort so I understand not wanting to do that.
Neither one of us use the information to gain the advantage. We are trying to if to be as informative as possible and have agreed to always make plays like we would in the blind
A+ Gentlemen! Great show of hands/ breakdown of decks and every angle possible of what to play or Not in situations. 👏 Keep up the good work for the community 😊
I really enjoyed this video, especially now with Pixelborn gone. I’d love to see sapphire steel vs sapphire Ruby. Specifically, a non-AWNW version of sapphire steel. I’m currently leaning towards sapphire steel for set championships and am currently using a Maurice’s workshop build that I’m enjoying.
Definitely an enjoyable match to watch. I was able to somewhat fix emerald steel with my own version where i dont run big tink. I made my highest inkable card to cast would be 5. It gives a better curve and allows me to keep up ruby sapphire match ups to becoming 50/50 instead of 80/20
@Twister4815 next week is when my next uploaded video for the deck profile. It will be the week before the official set championship for ursula begins and video will be uploaded on the day before 4th of July. I'm still in a testing phase to make sure that the ratios are least comfortable to not be clunky. It'll have dreamborn link as well for the full view
The math says mulligan develop if you have a pawpsicle. You get that extra card then another card off the pawpsicle so you essentially play develop through your mulligan and get that item out turn 1.
I disagree. We want to find the OJA on turn 2 and if we do not have it in our opener develop looks at 2 cards which I value over a blind card, especially with our strategy having a high uninkable count the inkable cards matter since I can mulligan and turn it into a brick
Small thing but game 1 you could've quested on Maui/Brawl turn because they can't play Maui and Brawl so either you get 2 lore and keep all squirrels or get 2 lore and keep squirrels which would've set up lethal a turn early
First of all, really nice video! The editing & commentary is on point, amazing quality here. It seems like you guys don't really believe that green-steel is that strong, but then how can you explain that it's been topping most large tournaments as of lately, and quite reliably so? Not enough Red-Blue or Steel-Blue out there to stop it? Or just an easier deck to play compared to those other options, which would explain the better results overall?
The deck is powerful certainly, however it has weaknesses that are very easily exploited. The deck is, arguably, the easiest deck to pilot of the big 4. Your gameplan is linear and you do the same thing every game and decks like that reward players that have a lot of repetitions with it. The deck sees top finishes and wins because it’s a powerful, easy to pilot deck, that gains the lead early in almost every game and can punish opponents early starts or incorrect play. But it is incapable of playing from behind, which is something the other decks in the big 4 are able to do
Remember you are not allowed to look in your inkwell to see what went down.. that is why u show what you ink ones, so the players have to remember what's in. And all the cards who says goes to the inkwell face down would not matter, if players just could look all the time. Els good video 👍
That is true. But it's a bad rule that rewards players with great memories, and screws over players without. This isn't memory. I love this game, but this is one of the rules that needs to be changed.
I would love to See Ruby/Saph & Ruby Amne. I know Ruby Amne usually takes it kinda easy, but would be curious to the winning lines Ruby/Saph could find
The commentary is really good!! Only thing is the music is kind of distracting to have it be playing while the commentary is going on. If it was more chill music that might be good. But heavy metal is a bit much to be playing alongside commentary
28:00 and this is why diablo is SUCH a tough card live. misses the first regular draw a card trigger, delay draws the card, first action opponent draws a card with Develop and RMB misses the diablo trigger
i feel that green steel is overrated right now. Ive had god hands with me loosing at 19 lore. i think the emerald steel is missing something. Feels like this deck is still slower than john. Has anyone tried john in season 4?
I doubt that that is the case. What I've noticed most is that people just forget that sometimes the game just turns into a race for lore. Instead of playing that race, they hold back on questing, in an attempt to control the board state, and end up losing because of it.
I know you wanted the discard triggers off of Diablo but I believe you should have shifted him earlier. You would have gotten more card draw off it. I would take Flynn out he has never helped me ever lol.
Green Steel Nut draw and you ink the song that you could guarantee shift diablo T2 after Bucky? Couldn't ink 1 of the 3 squirrels???? Had to pause to post this, now to continue watching. (Watching because you posted the link after the 2k and said "get cultured")
At the very least, inking the 3rd bucky T1 and keeping the strength, you have the option to play diablo T2 if the path is clear. I think inking strength right away is a YUGE mistake in my opinion. Looking at the video looks like green steel is on the play. 3:39 So shifting T2 triggers 1 discard, and gets 2 draws (T2, and T3) replacing the strength and another card. It digs you 2 cards deeper setting up the 2nd bucky into more floodborn draws or ursula for searching for a one jump / taking the be prep at the very least if you go the ursula line. Thats what I saw anyway the first 4 minutes
@@coreypatrick6586 The video is super well done! Great content especially considering the hassle of setting up multiple cameras for playing in person. Great format playing 2 top decks and a match with both on the play and explaining the deck, mulligans and lines you are thinking about and taking (even if they may be wrong XD ) It will be cool to see more matchups for sure! Always appreciate competitive Lorcana content and you guys are putting in work!
this is incorrect. Develop does not trigger diablo because it does not draw a card. Diablo does not say when a card is added to hand it is only when a card is drawn. Develop, Tala, and HFIG do not trigger diablo
So you said "A lot of people don't have the misconception that these (Fishbone Quill) are playable in this matchup, which is very false..." I'm not sure what you mean there... that's like a misdirected double-negative. 'don't have the misconception that these are'. that's a negative (don't have) followed by a negative (misconception) followed by a positive (these are). So is it "a lot of people THINK this card is playable" which is very false? Or are you're saying that a lot of people know that you shouldn't play that card - because the way you said it means that a lot of people don't think that way (don't have the misconception) - and you're saying that those people's idea is entirely false... Bottom line is don't play quill vs. discard. Which is true. Correct?
@@coreypatrick6586 lol wut. you literally played pawpsicle directly after. He shifts on his two, its rested thats AT LEAST 2 draws because u still need to reach 3 just to play brawl, deters u from playing the pawpsicle at all, and stops you from quill on 3 cuz it forces the brawl on curve. from there he can almost guaranteed win if he doesnt ink his floodborns like he keeps doing throughout the match. don't cope, look at your available lines, especially when given criticism. that's how you improve
