University Libraries' Curator of Dance Mara Frazier presents a virtual experience of dance notation archives at The Ohio State University. Labanotation, a symbol system for movement preservation and transmission, has a strong presence in the Dance Notation Bureau Collection held at the Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee Theatre Research Institute in Ohio State’s Special Collections, is interwoven into the history of Ohio State Dance and is even part of the architecture of the Thompson Library. This session explores highlights of collections and Labanotation serves as a catalyst for engagement through creative inquiry, research, teaching and outreach.

I saw you commenting this under another Labanotation lecture and looked up Martial Arts Notation but couldn’t find anything. Any sources you can point me to?
