A few years back I saw a ford dodge and chevy linked up dragging a big rv through the sand together. Someone was bound and determined to get their rig out near comp hill
When I took my RV in 2017 I had a 35 footer man and only trucks and Trailers were going on the beach I was one of the first to bring in something that big and huge and 1 other diesel. We did it just fine as long as you go at low tide. Carry big ass compressor so you can refill your tires with air and I use traction boards. Bien right on the beach with your ATVs man like no other.
Those guys are bad ass! If it weren't for them that would have been a 400thousand insurance claim. Love to see total strangers come together to help each other!
JoePJack1 missing the point. Getting stuck on the beach is not intentional ..... so insurance would pay..... I don’t agree with the guy doing this in the 1st place . But the point is insurance does cover stupidity.
When you are being pulled out do not spin your wheels ... Just enough power to where the wheels are not spinning. Let the one pullind you get you out of the hole then give just a little more power !!!!
My flatbed had a pintle hook and I used a soft shackle to the main cross bar of the RVs tow hitch. The white dodge did use a ball hitch. But I wasnt worried after I put my recovery rope on.
Reason people get stuck out there in a RV is because they listen to others saying it is okay just drive on the hard sand wherever that is along the Beach. Since I am not a follower and not dumb enough , i wont drive my 38 ft. 26000 lb ( empty ) motorhome into the sand. Especially on 275/80/22.5. Tires rated for 100+ psi.
Going out in the sand is just not worth it .... I bet you’re still finding sand inside the rv it just shows up like magic. Glad to see you got her out,that beer must have been so good after you set up camp.🍻
This is aThor Windsport Class RV. I have one that is painted exactly like this one. My wife and I watched this and couldn't believe that someone would get stuck out on the beach like this.
#1 you have to air your tire down ,#2 Pismo has weird sand even when its wet it doesn’t pac down and get hard like most places , its almost like some of the beaches in mexico (malarrimo beach) is 1 that likes to swallow trucks whole
Looks like people forgot to air down...lol...Also they are using the wrong Snatch point on the first truck. If the ball breaks it will shoot right though the back of the camper like a cannon ball.

Sure makes it smother when you add an old car tire between two ropes and jerk against the stuck vehicle car tires absorbs the shock As it stretches it even aids in the pull
1973,Reminds me of entitled Dr. type driving out onto the nice dry beach,to get to the waves,300 yards from shoreline,screaming at his wife to get the motorhome moving before the tidal flow got there. Ahhh! San Felipe' at sundown,as the rich folks swam to shore from their flooded million dollar toy when the genset finally quit ! Threats of lawsuits flew as the doctor type expected every American to pitch in and help.
Rule #1 for beach parking: GOAL GET OUT AND LOOK at the aera you are THINKING about driving on! Rule #2 Call a REAL wrecker as soon as you realize you screwed up! They have insurance to cover damages!
Who in his right mind drives something that big on the beach? But to the driver it was no indication that he is the only one so near to the water. Maybe next time take a 18wheeler on the beach.😂😂😂
Reminds me of the story of the Bush pilot. Two buddies talk to a Bush pilot about landing on a small fishing Lake. The pilot said no way. The Lakes too small to land. The two buddies assured the pilot that they flew in just last week and we're fishing there. Having heard that, the bush pilot took them to the small Lake and landed safely. After a day of fishing they went to take off but the plane unfortunately crashed into the shore on the other side of the lake. The two buddies Shrugged their shoulders and looked at each other. Funny, the same thing happened when we came fishing here last weekend. DUMB ASS!!!
The dodge ram had tried 1st And failed the power stroke got the RV moving But they worked together to get it out So don't be saying the ram came to the rescue

Surely they should have a jack, a big bit of wood to put it on, and 4 (or more) good strong planks to put the wheels on. They can drive it a plank length at least before it bogs again. What would these people do if there was no-one to pull them out?The sand is much softer than this at my beach, and a 2wd wouldn't do the first bit of the access track.
I didn't see a pile of furniture and equipment on the beach. They might have made it a whole ton lighter if they unloaded all they could before pulling. Just sayin'. But hats off to the pick up guys.
