Synopsis of the Film
Mazdoors lay the ground work of our societies, they are the pillars on which our sky scrapers stand. Their blood, sweat & tears shape our homes, malls & subways. But which strata of our social fabric do these labourers dwell in? What about their individual identities? We follow the story of Shankar and Manju, daily wage migrant workers, living miles away from home for work that to them is worship. Our journey with them brings us to the apocalyptic days of an un-foreseen pandemic that upends the lives of millions like them. Without a social security net to catch their fall and be abandoned by the city they built, left to their own devices, they begin a long, long walk back home.
Will they ever get there ? Will they find the families that a home is made of ? Will they ever dare to dream or hope again for a better future ? Or are they on roads that lead nowhere ?

The film's music is made with a very regional and folk touch. It has its heart for the Hindi Heartland of the country there is also a song on kabbadi which also adds a sports flavour to the kabbadi leagues of the country.

Journey of the film :
The idea emerged and the film actually started during the covid -19 lockdown. Hunt for cinematographer and other technical personnel was carried out but it was obviously very difficult to get it all together and work. Thus the film was started with only 4-6 theatre actors and technical departments were also looked at by theatre practitioners, like how one member from the troupe took up the responsibility of cinematography, other one took care of costumes and makeup, doing recky , art work etc and slowly slowly a team of 72 actors/members from the our theatre only got together who not only acted but took care various department of the film.
