Being a Labradoodle breeder is an emotional journey for us. Many friendships are formed with our families. Even though our puppies go to their forever homes, they are always our babies. Please, forgive my tears in this RU-vid video as I let Valerie know who her puppy is. Valerie lost her Labradoodle at a young age and it has impacted her deeply. I share her feelings of loss and the emotion that goes with welcoming a new life to share. Part of the magic of our dogs is the vulnerability we must have, knowing their lives are always shorter than ours.

Purple's Mom lost her dog recently in December. Green's family also lost their dogs recently. Black's family had some emotional circumstances occur during the course of this litter being born and going home. It was all very emotional for me knowing the circumstances, what these families have been through and how the puppies will all begin to heal so many hearts and lives. I was totally overcome with all that was wrapped up with this litter. And, it is Misha's retirement litter and she has been a fantastic Mama dog for us. I was completely overcome when it came to talking to Purple's Mom about why he was going to be perfect for her.

I was recommended an Australian Labradoodle and was looking at maybe a mini version but open to the idea of a regular size 7:25 is honestly so very very cute. I go out to the beach and the lake frequently as I am a retired vet but also love the idea of a couch pup after we play out in the backyard. I am someone who had a TBI and was recommended a service dog and got a note but never followed through on it. I have anxiety so I just get too nervous at the lifestyle change.

TBI can cause many challenges and dogs often help with them as well as bringing optimism, calmness and positive energy to your life. If you live in the US, I hope you find help through a program for vets that will match you with the right dog without causing you further anxiety during the process. We have placed some of our ALD puppies with Canadian vets who have similar situations to yours. They all enjoy a happier life as a result. My wish is for you to be able to enjoy that as well. @@VanIsleDoodles That honestly means a lot. I do live in the states I just recently moved down here and begin starting the process of all the medical steps so it's been a long journey but I am starting to settle in so I started to really think it's time to move forward with getting a dog and was recommended the breed 🥹 they're certainly cute that's for sure. I am glad there are others in similar situations who got an ALD puppy and have enjoyed a happier life as a result. I love dogs and have cared for a few over my lifetime but would love one of my own and to build that happier life for myself. Thank you again and you're welcome! I loved the video :) I am hoping to get my own ALD puppy to have a companion to go down to the lake and go swimming with. My buddy has a lab named ranger who he goes jet skiing with lol that would be so cool to do that with my own pup lol
