A loving Labrador dad took it upon himself to teach his precious little puppies how to swim, and by the looks of it, it was a very successful first lesson!
This sure beats the way my dad taught us to swim. He threw us in the pool and said dog paddle 😉. Just kidding. Thank you for this uplifting post. I needed to see this. ❤️
I love how quiet the camera person was. No commentary, no calling out to the dogs, just letting them do their thing without any interference. Well done 👍💖🐶👏
@@vivians9392 no argument here Vivian 👍👏 Humans think they are the superior race, but they can learn hell of a lot from animals. Take a look at how awesome elephants treat each other 😊🐶💖
Exactly it is cruel that so many people just have one dog & dont give a fuck about the dogs mental health or solitude it will face its whole life... especially when they are just kept on a lead
Not everyone can live in the countryside, but that doesn't mean they should be denied having a dog. And not everyone can have more than one dog, but that doesn't mean they can't socialize the dog with others.
Kate Hobbs I saw that too. That one pup wanted to sniff around and dad was like he didn’t even have to count he instinctively knew one was missing and shot back to get’em.
@@ysal6570 Yes, There's always one puppy in the entire litter that's hyper, smart, Just ,like humans have 5 or 6 kids, one of them will grow out to be so called financially successful,
What we humans can learn from this dog: - He is not forcing the puppies to jump in the water. He respect their individuality and free will. They jump whenever they feel ready. - He is himself the rolmodel. - He saw that not everyone have the courage to jump in the water. So he first try to relax them by playing with them, before jumping again in the water. - He doesn't try to control the situation, he is living in the here and now. He will only help if they are in danger.
Id like to add: -when one lagged behind he came back to check on them. He checked on each of them to make sure they were ok. -No loud barking or rough-housing, you could tell he had lots of energy but was still really gentle with his kids.
Isn’t Mother Nature beautiful -natures beautiful, it can be, to see a father teach his little ones how to swim, what a breath of fresh air just to see the pup’s in our very troubled world , this sight is so badly needed right now-thank you utube the puppies are adorable! Gods gifts to man.
Hats up to the camera man…, no calling for the dogs no silly jokes no background misic …., nothing but the dad’s breath voice and the amazing birds and nature sounds! I felt so relaxed and happy all the video and wish it lasted longer ❤
I had a lot of trouble finding a video that wasn't TRY NOT TO LAUGH or MEMES or had stupud music, or was from goddamn tiktok, this one was a diamong in thje rough
Yeah except the channel is called rumble viral, and has vids of all sorts of animals willy nilly. cash-mongers--> this some ripped vid off someone else who actually cares about these dogs, they dont even have an 'about' description on their page. boo
Looks like he wasn't just teaching them to swim - more like teaching them to be dogs: "This is what we do. We run around. We smell things. If it smells really interesting, we follow it. We crawl through brush. We go into the water. We jump & splash & swim if we have to.... "
The father makes his puppies hot by running, and cool off in the water, hence, they would be more willing to go into the water, that way, they will remember the water as something pleasurable.
He can smell the other puppy (and lack thereof) from a ways away and knows the puppy is left behind. Has nothing to do with counting. Humans greatest asset is intelligence (well, not always) and eyesight. Dogs' best asset is their nose... they can pick up a TON with it... it's why it's a little annoying when people feel so bad for blind dogs. The dog is fine... they're born blind, as long as they have their sniffer they're good to go. It's all the stupid coddling and feeling sorry for them that makes them insecure and nervous.
I laughed several times while watching this, whenever the joy rose up within me. I could hear the birds, the splashing of the water, the dog's breathing, their paws hitting the ground as they were running, the sound of the wind rustling the grass... What a beautiful few minutes you shared with us. Thank you. It felt like I was there. 🤗
They're so happy to be out running with dad. Faces looking like smiles. Then you got the one who doesn't question it just jumps in with him. Each learning at own pace.
I agree completely. Labs instinctively know how to swim. Our current lab fell off a dock when a puppy and swam to the nearby shore as if she had been doing it all her life. Can't keep her out of the water now.
Finally a healthy video about a canine family! This is so refreshing to watch ! That father really shows the spirit of a father, and that field is so perfect for them! As you say “from heaven”
Dad was a good example and very patient. In the begin, the puppy's were afraid because it was probably the first time, but at last they all went into the water. They are very cute and adorable.❤️👍
Daddy was in total control of the whole operation. Even when some puppies hung back with the camera operator, he’d come circling back to check on everyone and make sure everything was good. And a great swimming lesson to boot. Good Daddy!
Actually, he doesn’t know he is is father. He doesn’t even have a “father” concept. Even canine mothers won’t recognize their own puppies if they are taken away and meet again after some time. Anthropomorphing animals is not specially good for them. They don’t need that. What they need is love and care throughout their lives. But, please, let them be animals and have the fulfilling animal life they need, like and deserve.
@@midei What does anthropomorphing means? Is it trying to have project human specifities and social constructs onto them? Is that why the root of the word is anthropology? It s the first time I ve seen this word and I got curious.
I had no idea male dogs had these fathering/mentoring instincts. You always see the females dogs (and most other species) doing the teaching. This was way cool to witness a male lab be just an all around great dad!!
My dog loves this video. She looks back at me to make sure I am watching it with her. I put on all kinds of dog, squirrel, bird, videos for her before bedtime to help her unwind and this is her current favorite. I also like it. It's adorable.
Note how Daddy stayed in step with his baby til they were out of the water. And how when they weren't in eyesight he went back to check. VERY attentive Daddy with beautiful babies from heaven!! Sooo adorable!! Wishing them all long, happy, healthy lives with people who will love & cherish them forever.🤗💖🍀🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦

We should all have a dad like this! The first time the pups went in the water, Dad made sure they knew how to turn around and get back to dry land. Safety first! Great dogs, great video, thanks.
It alleviates my urge to visit the local woods, but they’re packed with people right now. No way to keep distance and loads of screaming disrupting nature. And the littering... Can’t wait until things are back to normal!
What an amazing dad-of 7! No pushing, no barking or growling!! No nipping tender flanks. All taught by example: How to have this wonderful, if slightly scary, fun!
What a good he is!! He takes his pups in and out multiple times so they get used to it slowly and easily! and he's checking on them when they go, they are are learning how to "Labrador"! Wonderful Video Rumble, Thank YOU!!!
Oh my God how adorable watching the father Labrador teaching his puppies how to swim wishing most fathers would spend time like this with their own children or maybe just spending quality time with them it's sad to say that most animals do a better job than most fathers when it comes down to being there for their own kids.
Konichiwa! You English is _very_ good! I might say, "This is a very kind father. He is teaching and raising his puppies to be great swimmers...." (I used to teach English in Tokyo.)
Sharon 92075 Thank you for your kindness. I have to study English more like puppies. I have lived in Tokyo for 18 years. I live in Kyoto now. Have you ever visited Kyoto?

It's amazing how a parent chooses the best place to teach their children. They stayed on the edge, as if to say "look, daddy, how we are swimming!" Very beautiful 💕💕💕💕💕
SO heartwarming to see this footage. Every child should grow up with dogs and learn love and gentleness for all living creatures. SO sweet the way the Daddy-dog watches after each and every one of his little brood!❤️🐾🐶
That’s adorable that the dad always acknowledged the pups that got in the water all the way. He looked so excited to get his kids out in the wild and show them how to have fun.
So many human Fathers (I speak from personal experience) could learn a thing or two from this Labrador Father. Turn off all electronic devices and ENJOY one of the greatest of ALL BLESSED RESPONSIBILITIES /JOYS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE, YOUR OFFSPRING! Every minute together, be it 100% positive or negative (and any percentage in between) is a precious gift.
This is the first time in my long life to ever see a male dog take his pups out and show them life skills. I am really touched by such a beautiful moment in time. This should be released into schools around the world. Please do this, as the students could learn a lot from this, e.g write about it, used for maths, or assess recall skills, teach empathy and patience to kids. Lastly, science (habitats). Much thanks.
@@joshuahudson2170 he has a kinda faith on his master and otherwise it's natural dog instict , they will grab the pup's neck with his mouth and drag the pup out of water....
It could’ve been a coincidence, but he turned attentive the moment you could hear the pup spatter around (as if it struggled to swim). From then on he kept focused until the pup reached the shoreline. Great parenting, especially from a male dog. Shows how well he was raised ☺️
