David Bowie was the best choice to play Jareth. He provided the intimidation needed for the character and also made the audience hope that Sarah would fall in love with him at the same time.

There was a 30th anniversary edition that said 4K Ultra HD. Maybe this is just the first time it’s available digitally in 4K. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ still confusing. 😂

You mean the classics are so exceptional, that only a few good movies are made every three to five years. But before, almost every movie was a hit! The actors were amazing, storylines were authentic... People had to use their minds and think "how can we do this" , unlike today " get the effects! "

I don't understand the decision to upload this and other samples in overly compressed 1080p (it's blurry!) if you're trying to sell us the 4K version. This movie has a long history of disappointing releases. I hope my broken heart will be mended at some point with a remastered version from the original footage. So far, the two versions I bought (DVD, then special edition Blu-Ray) were extremely grainy. I don't understand why the Dark Crystal has a better visual quality, despite being a few years older than Labyrinth.
