I'm seventeen and my dad passed away 2 months ago and I had been thinking about this dance...I finally brought myself to watch it again and its amazing how much more it means to me now than before. Mia's dad would be so proud of her. I can't wait to dance with my daddy in heaven and I'll see Mia and her dad there too...

This still gives me chills years years later!!

I lost my dad too, 4 years ago, and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I love this dance because it gives me hope that one day I will see him again and we can be together dancing forever!

This has remained my favorite dance routine of all the SYTYCD seasons. It's truly magical and emotionally pure. My father died years ago and I can't even imagine how it'll feel to see him again someday, if that happens. It will be a dream come true.

I had already started tearing up before they even started dancing. By the end I had tears pouring down my face. Beautiful dance. Just beautiful.

Why do I always cry when I watch this?

I remember watching this for the first time. This was the first season of sytycd that I ever watched. This was the first dance that I ever saw that made me cry. Mia Michaels was and still is my first favorite choreographer. Lacey and Neil were and still are my favorite sytycd couple. Thank you Mia Michaels,Lacey Schwimmer, and Neil Haskell.

I understand for those that lost a Father. I know the pain. and hurt. To see this brought tears to my eyes. and my heart filled with love and sadness at the same time.

i watched this when it actually aired years ago and i cried...i watched it just now, and i cried...Mia Michaels is pure magic...and this is one of the most beautiful expressions of love and loss that i have ever seen.

The ten year anniversary was on tonight and it showed five of the best dances from the past years.. I do not understand why this wasn't one of the five... This will always be my favourite routine followed by the bench.

I kinda stopped watching after season 4 cause I just have been so busy when it's on, but I'm so glad to come back and watch something so beautiful. It moved me so much.

Very moving, I think particularly the song by Billy Porter, 'Time' evokes such emotion in the first place, and then add the Mia Michael's story and it's very moving indeed.

Out of all of the dances ever performed on SYTYCD, this one will always be the best. Love.

I lost my dad a little over a year ago and watching this just made me tear up all over again..but I know he's up there smiling and looking down over me and my mom and I can go on living everyday knowing he's in a much better place.

This is such a beautiful piece, when i first saw this on TV, i came in just as it had started, it bought me to tears and really touched my heart. Mia is just amazing, i don't dance contemp, but i would love to meet her and take a class with her. She is pure brilliance!

Mia Michaels choreographed some of the top 10 dances in the earlier days of this show. I miss her on the current SYTYCD along with Tyce Diorio. When choreography, music, and dancers can make an audience and judges' panel almost speechless you know it is a powerful number.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have EVER seen. Every time I see it, I love it all over again. Thanks, Mia! Your choreography is breathtaking.

Having had the immense privilege of studying under Mia as a child, and having watched with awe the classes her father taught from the sidelines, this tribute has a special knack of moving me to tears each and every time. The Michaels family as a whole is a legacy unto themselves of American dancers. They all will always hold a special place in my heart.

I cried throughout this routine. I just loved it.

I prefer this one over the version in season nine. These two really, even though they're in a really close age range, they pull off the father daughter relationship really well. Lacey dances with the abandon of an innocent little girl and Neil gives off the air of really being a father finally seeing his little girl again. I'm crying right now. I love this.

Still one of the most stunning pieces.

My dad suffered a stroke a few years before he died and was confined to a wheechair. It's wonderfullly sad to think of him doing all the things he loved to do before the stroke. When I see him in Heaven, he will be standing on his own two feet.

Never fails to turn me into a human waterfall. Makes me think about how at any moment you can lose someone that you love and you really need to spend that time with them before they go.

As a former dancer, you always dream of working with a choreographer who can bring something out of you you didn’t know you had. Mia Michaels is one of the most brilliant choreographers ever. I remember watching this live and just crying…just one of those moments in time that you can never forget. Truly beautiful and unforgettable. 2022 still feeling the feels.
