Dear Lacy, life in quarantine happened a few weeks after I moved away for the first time. I was homeschooled my whole life, and I have only ever had my family. My family has taken some brutal hits recently. I found out things I'd rather not know. I've been living in loneliness and sin. I feel so numb some days and I hate myself most of the time. If I feel anything, it's self-loathing and the desire to disappear. I used to listen to music to calm myself, but songs feel so empty recently. Never yours. Every time I hear your voice, I feel something stirring in me. I cry. I can feel again. I can breathe again. I think that I want to continue living. I think that I want to keep trying, because maybe someday things will get better. I think one day I will hold my parents and siblings again, and one day my self-destructive behavior will be sanctified. I feel like I want to be a better person when I hear your voice. I remember where I put my bible. Dear Lacy, thank you for being so sincere. God speaks his loove in your story, and he continues to hold me in your voice. I pray that he stays by your side, and gives you strength. Please keep singing. Thank you for not giving up.

When Lacey sings this, it shows up on her face... how she's just being completely honest and real... and devoted and passionate... it's so, like, rare and enchanting to see that honesty and hear it in her voice... it's mind-blowing.

I don't know if you read your comments but this song means so much to me. I wouldn't say I see the reason yet. I try each day to be the best person I can. I can say I couldn't live without some sort of faith. Life is rough. I listen to your testimony and it touches my heart each time. Makes me tear up even. I saw her live last week, I didn't realize she was so popular. Her husband let me play his guitars, he's a pretty good guitarist, and she's a pretty good vocalist/song writer.
Last comment, I said it sounds to be tuned differently, and I was right. He's a half step down, so from low to high: Eb, Ab, Db, F#, Bb, and Eb. That's your tuning.
It kinda does effect those of us who aren't Christians. It's awesome that she's alive and that she found something to believe in but what she believes does effect the music she writes and what its about.

+Resurrect Music I'm an atheist and I've read her book! I love it too, and I also love Flyleaf and Lacey's new music. :) I also have absolutely no plans or desires to stop being an atheist. I used to be a Christian and it was awful, I'm much happier as an atheist. ^^
You say that now, but if you knew a lot of these kids, you'd know that many of them have felt what you're feeling. They're just to strong to let that mentality become them. Although im sure i dont need to tell you because you're probably just trolling.

I understood it. it was worded oddly but I did understand it. sara asked what was wrong with her being a christian. your response was about imagination and was worded as though Christians were imaginary. You mean, what we believe is "Imaginary". But if you do research and digging I'm sure you'll find that Jesus was real and the Bible tells the Truth. But no one can make you read it or look into it. God doesn't force us to love Him. If you're wrong are you okay with the outcome? food for thought
u kno y she can sing like this? couple reasons- 1) Cuz when u have gone (through) Stuff i.e. Hard times, trails & tribulations, singing like this comes 4rm THE HEART. The passion is TRULEY EXPRESSED. This girl, paid her 'does' and God purchase for soul with His previous blood. Hallelujah!!! 2) It's God's ANOINTING upon her life & gift 4rm God 2 sing 4HIS GLORY. Make no mistake about it. God came to seek and save that which is lost. Her testimony coming to Jesus is very powerful. The devil almost had her. But when God is for us who can be against us? Amen.
would one random crazy guy be able to write about how the earth and humans came about? Explaining reasoning for the features we have today(i.e. Mt. Sinai) and write prophecies of events that happened after the Bible was finished?(i.e. the return of Israel). I used to think the Bible was just like the Native American stories of how a turtle got it's shell but found out it is so much more. I grew up not believing A LOT until a couple years ago. but again I can't make anyone believe
