Wherever Keith is right now, I’m sure sure he has a smile on you, for continuing his legacy. If you ever relocate to south Florida, consider that a “Greg” and a “Carl” are waiting. All the best for 2024 !!!
Bravo Dr. Cornet! Hope you play in Tampa Bay sometime. James, I have samples on my channel.🎹Can run a rocked up version of Tcherepnin's "La Chasse" on Hammond clone by ya.
Bravo, Anthony👋One of my favourite Keith Emerson pieces. He wasn’t just about sticking knives into a Hammond, nor experimenting with a Moog. I loved his piano work just as much as his pyrotechnics on stage! Thank you so much for this!
In 1971 ELP played in a town where I lived and Keith's solo spot with his back turned to the audience so you could see his hands and fingers on the grand piano. He played this piece. I will never forget that moment. ☺️😮💨🥲 Mr. Anthony Cornet has a wonderful tribute here! 🎉❤
I was a big ELP fan in period (ie. the Seventies) and this is an accomplished piece. At the same time, it is typical of Emerson's work in that it's rather busy, and probably a little showier than it needs to be...
Great version, beautifully played! PS: Could I ask where you got the sheet music? I'm a pianist who've played many of Emerson's pieces, but never found the sheet music for The Three Fates. I could sit down and transcribe it, but there's only so much time... Thanks!
The Fates - Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos - were divinities in Greek mythology who presided over human life. Together, the Fates represented the inescapable destiny of humanity. In Greek mythology, the Fates were divine beings who personified the birth, life, and death of humankind.
There must be complete tabs for piano for this? Or was it just worked out by ear? It would take another super Keith fan to transcribe it, unless Keith left some notations.
Thank you for the kind words! And for looking into my concerto analysis. I do not believe there is a proper version to purchase at the moment. However, if you search for Lachesis PDF Emerson into google many transcriptions by dedicated Emerson enthusiasts are available. Hope this helps, and thanks again for your kind support!
@luckywaiting @anthonycornetpiano264 There is a full transcription of the *entire* Three Fates here. I commissioned it from Han Zhao, who is a transcription prodigy, so I have the PDF if anyone wants it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FBa7xlcqaFo.html displays the transcription against the original.
