Had this for a little while now, only just got round to doing another B-Roll video like I did with the Stowa Bronze 36mm.
Full review here: www.watchuseek...

The spec options I chose for this were:
- Stainless steel case Ø 37 mm, 20 ATM
- Dark sandblasted
- Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coat (inside and outside)
- Sapphire crystal caseback
- Crown position on the right side
- Hand winding movement, Top grade, bridges and wheels decorated (Sellita SW210-1)
- Without date display
- Black dial, Baumuster B
- Numbers and figures with Superluminova C3, with printing Laco and Made in Germany
- Configuration code: B.37.S.D.G.H.T.D.X.L.V.R
The strap is a Barton Hybrid Cordura with a custom Titanium grey vintage buckle.
Filmed with a Galaxy S20 in Pro Video mode.

at first i;m not gonna pay 100euro for AR coating until i bumped to your channel. Now, Sandblasted + Double AR is my config.

Great choice. I was wondering if the dial would be too busy with the B dial on a 37mm watch case. I would have gone for auto, I would rather have a manual wind, but a screw down crown with manual wind seems annoying..but then again I end up manually winding most of my autos anyway I guess as I dont' wear them all the time. Finishing level you chose looks great although I'd probably go for solid case back and have no movement finishing.

This thing is beautiful, but still cant decide if I should get Laco Pro or Stowa Classic (both type A). I wanted the Stowa with hand winding, but find out that the SW 215 is basic grade with TOP finish, while the automatic upgrade is TOP Grade. Also I dont like that the lume is not on the whole dial on 40 mm version, only on the 36 mm one. But then I look at Laco Pro, and you can see that the decoration is little bit better on the Stowa... Also it looks like the Laco hands are little bit different color then the dials. Its so hard to choose, I know both brands do great Fliegers, its just those little things... I would love if Stowa would do the limited version with Unitas 6497 full dial lume again... I know from reddit post that you have both brands and enjoy both, but to choose only one.... :D Anyway, great videos. Liked and subscribed! I would enjoy more of those watch videos! :D

The 215 will be either basic or TOP, they offer the movement upgrade as options. Where did you see it was basic with TOP finish? As the TOP finish starts off with the TOP grade movement, then they add any extra decoration on top of that! Unless you are talking about a Specific model from Stowa? Do you have a link to it and I can see too perhaps? Yep I have both, but my Stowa is the Bronze Vintage of course with the upgrade options all ticks, same as the Laco Pro! Between them they trade punches on fine detailing and stuff, I think Stowa execute their detailing slightly better, but the Laco looks more "Pro" - Kinda in the name I suppose lol.

@@RobbieKhan I contacted Stowa via email, and got told that the only TOP grade movement in the Flieger Classic is the upgraded SW200 automatic, the SW215 is "just" basic movement with TOP Finishing. Here is the part of the email: Unfortunately no, The flieger 40 Model is only available with the lume on the hour stroks - sorry! The Automatic movement at the Flieger Classic watches is TOP grade and TOP Finish. The Handwinding movement is every time a Basic with TOP Finish. Also Im not sure why the lume is done differently on 36 and 40 mm models, for me this is huge point for Laco Pro in the 40 mm version type A.

If you have to choose between Laco ot your Stowa, which one would you pick? And why? If you don’t want to answer my 2nd question, that’s fine. :) i’m just deciding between the 2 and i like the Laco better. I thought of getting an opinion from an owner of both.
@RobbieKhan
@RobbieKhan Год назад
It's a hard question to answer as between both Laco and Stowa I have they both do the approach in their own way so neither is really better than the other in my eyes hence why I had to buy both. I prefer Stowa bronze cases and handsets, but prefer the Laco Pro case design and locking crown too as well as their AR costing upgrade. The matte case on the Laco is nice too and unique. I prefer the buckle and crystal dome on stowa too as it's more detailed. Both were necessary to buy essentially.
@gullie9004
@gullie9004 Год назад
@@RobbieKhan thanks for taking the time to answer those questions! I appreciate it. And i think both being almost equally desirable for you, i’d go with the Laco. I’d go with the one that i feel like i’d enjoy more. Thanks Rob! Your answer was the final piece of my decision making! 😎👊you’re a legend, Ma friend!

@@RobbieKhan I have 16.7 cm. Should i go with the 37mm or with the 40mm
@RobbieKhan
@RobbieKhan 2 года назад
6.5' is middle ground so ultimately boils down to personal preference. I don't like watches where the lugs meet the wrist edge either end, hence why ~44mm lug to lug is the ideal size I like which the 36-37mm watches have.
@dhuge677
@dhuge677 2 года назад
@@RobbieKhan I agree - 6.5 is a tough middle ground. I tend to "fill the space" on my 6.5, so I usually opt for 39 or 40 when possible, but 37-38 is probably "more correct" in terms of fit. Just preferences though. With a pilot's watch, I think one can err just a tad bigger if they'd like and just explain it away as it being "more period appropriate" lol
@dhuge677
@dhuge677 2 года назад
I would just add - I own a 42 mm Laco Aachen and it fits large on me, but as a pilot's watch i think it's nice that way. I receive the 40 mm Laco Flieger Pro Stuttgart (A-dial) tomorrow, so I am excited to see how it fits.
