The fine tuning tool is an old tool from Eastern Germany. You won't get it without some big luck. There are modern electronic tools that do the trick though.

I was doing the build (my hands on the video) and you can adjust the middle part with help of a digital caliper, too. Turning the big bearing cover screws can be done with a steel plate.

S'god! Nein, überhaupt nicht. Gabor hat die Sperre sehr gut eingestellt (sieht man im Video). Allerdings ist manchmal ein bisserl zu viel Traktion da, dabei hab ich mir vor zwei jahren das Planetenrad im vorderen Diff geschrottet, weil die Vorderachse nicht mitgekommen ist -- hinten Traktion, vorne blokiert, dann beginnt der Wagen zu springen und PÄNG! Seitdem habe ich ein Torsendiff vorne drinnen, sicher ist sicher. Ach ja, was am Blokka nervt ist, dass er in kurven schiebt, wenn ich zu untertourig fahre.

@@N4ttl Mittlerweilen war Gabor wieder bei mir und hat das Spiel enger gestellt....seitdem is die Sperre auch gut fahrbar auf der Strasse....vorne möcht ich mit dem original Diffgehäuse besser nix machen....vielleicht mal Stahldiff und dann erst....

I bought it from in Ukraine. But you can order it from offroadrunner.ru or you can ask ladapower.eu if they can order it for you. You can buy the Blokka alone or in the differential case -- I suggest the later if you do not have somebody to fine tune it.

I cannot reccommend it for regular driving. It is always 100% locked and disengages the lock if one wheel is turning slower than the other. You can no longer drive with low revs because the blokka is pushing from behind. Also it creates a critical load to the stick axles and the kardan shaft and can break them. However it is the cheapest way to get a proper lock into your Niva.

@@N4ttl r u sure it is locked alll the time??And disengages when one wheel start turning slower than the other?so if iv got one of my wheels in the air it wont lock?sounds like an lsd rather than a locker!!!Do u still have it on ?Still working?

@@Miniorpernik The Ижтехно блокка is a detroit locker. Had a stick axle break last year in the Carpaths though and it was out for a month or so because it destroyed the diff. Offroading mishaps ;)

Not really. As long as the engine applies torque, diff is 100% locked. However, when there's no torque from engine to the locker, it behaves like a free differential, so you can make tight turns without wheels slipping. The biggest downside is when you are making turns at low speed and power, transmission stars jerking. It is easily fixed by depressing a clutch for a couple of seconds, but it's still very noticeable. However, off the road this diff is phenomenal - it really behaves like a 100% locked diff, and it's cheap.

niva have central diff lock no lockers on axles!

standard diff lock is just for central diff. The axels do not have a diff lock. So you can only synchronize front and rear axle but not the wheels.

if you got one front and one rear slipping u r dead

Because the lockers do not fit without some grinding.

This specific tool was originally from German Democratic Republic (ie. communist East Germany). Our mechanic bought it couple of years ago.

I did the installation and these are my hands and tools in the video. This was the most we had in that situation. I like more too to work at an iron table.
