One of my friends is the area manager of one of the big bookie groups. He told me that there is very little horse/football bets being done in bookie shops. If it wasn't for the fobt machines they would be all closed. He said each machine guarantees a minimum of 100k for the individual shop. Most bookie shops have a minimum of 2 most I have seen is 6. You do the math 2 machines pays the yearly rent rates and wages for 5 staff. All from the 86/90% rtp. Legal daylight robbery!! They all need ban!!!
The most fobt’s any shop is allowed by law as I understand it, is four, the other machines should be betting terminals for all sports, lottery etc In my town here in Scotland, my local Ladrokes has Four fobt’s and a whopping Eight betting terminals! 😮😮
