My God! The stupidity of some of these comments is beyond belief! Glennis is a consummate artist paying homage to other artists in HER way! This woman is a vocal beast! She blows other vocalists out of the water when it comes to power singing! Glennis will gift us with original material when the time comes! Whitney, Mariah and other awesome singers have had great careers; now Glennis is here and is dominating! Get over it and just enjoy a phenomenal talent!

Glennis is not a competitor. She is a singer who loves to sing some really great songs and she does is out of respect and tribute. Nevertheless her voice is very powerful and personally I find that the WH songs suits her voice especially well.

She crushed it. While she didn’t do the iconic whistle notes, she sang with incredible confidence and made it her own. Not to mention, the arrangement is amazing! I’m digging the groovy bass and horn section. We LOVE a good horn section 😂

Majority of the people commenting on here only cares about the whistling but I find this very unique. She's singing it her own way and that's what matters. But if she were to copy every detail about the original then she gets shit for it just like how Mel B was saying she heard more Whitney and not enough of her in AGT. This is an interesting performance, because I believe I’ve heard Mariah say before something like that on days when she has a really good belt vocally, it’s harder for her to access the whistle tones. But on days when she has a great whistle/whisper register, it’s harder for her to belt. I feel in some ways, over the years, Mariah has sacrificed her belting register for her whistle/whisper voice. Maybe because she feels that’s become her trademark. But I wish she had leaned more into developing her high belt. I would love to hear her still belt like this, even if she had to sacrifice the whistles. This performance shows that it can still be amazing without the whistles.
