That's how it should be coz the bible says, "Pray without ceasing...." and to do that whether you're on your knees, with your eyes closed or not.. But talking to the Lord requires respect and appear before Him in a proper manner. I too, since I've reconciled with God, I've resumed to covering my hair and also have been led to also wear clothes that covers the temple of the Holy Spirit, I wear long skirt below knees, long sleeve tops or if not below elbows when I'm home and I wear a head covering everytime, I only take it off when I'm washing my head or taking a bath from head to toe and I try to not appear to anyone even at home to see me not covered or dressed appropriately. And I do feel closer to God since I started and the Lord is so good to me and I'm seeking Him on other things that I should work on that displeases God. I'm so glad you do, sister. Let's keep doing it for the glory of God 😊

Sister, I LOVE your bodlness, praise Christ! I am not covering yet, I am still switching my wardrobe to dresses but Abba convicted me one day about headcoverings while reading the scriptures about head covering. After I read it I began to weep so bitterly, even wailing a little bit. When I finished crying I asked Abba, "why did I weep so bitterly?" and He gave me understanding that it was REBELLION in me that did not want to cover my head. He showed me that because a woman's hair is her glory, it is a most submissive thing to cover it, most women have some rebellion due to modern feminist teachings and do not want to even submit to a husband let alone cover their own glory. Rebellion is the issue.
Since the women’s movement the custom of covering was completely lost and the spiritual reason for it was lost way before that. This is why petare getting so upset in the comments because they aren’t educated enough about it. It’s also important to know that we aren’t supposed to look at the instructions in the Bible in a legalistic perspective as it is not a commandment that will change our salvation. Our churches today don't really preach about modesty. They can preach about the Holy Spirit, they do spiritual warfare but they just don't preach about how a woman of God should dress. They don't tell their congregation how much God hate cross dressing. It is indeed a disappointment.
This!!!! This video! The Lord has been pressing on my heart for months to wear a head covering. But because my church and other influences would say otherwise I stopped. Once I did stop, I went through so much…. So many attacks and deep depression wi tbh out cause. It got to the point I even cut my hair because I noticed it falling out. I covered my head again for the past two weeks. & glory to God!!! I have been feeling so much better my hair is also growing back and above all else, I’m choosing to honor the Lord more than what my flesh desires or other ppls opinions. Thank God! The word for covering in 1 Corthians 11:4, 5,6,7, 13, the word for cover is, katakalýptō, from katá, "down, and kalýptō, "to cover"-cover down, to make appropriate (complete), i.e. to wear a veil. It is the same word used for the veil that separated the Holy of holies from the priests. Vrs 15. "but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering." This is a different word for "cover"= "peribolaion," that which is thrown around or a mantel that can be thrown around (As in when a women tosses or throws her hair around). This is where we get the saying, "Let your hair down." Up until only the last generation woman covered in Church. All of our grandmothers would have covered in church. This is why the Hutterites, Mennonites, Amish, the orthodox churches, etc still cover their hair. Amen sister. Keep speaking truth. This is a valuable lesson and sadly an important part of our service to the Lord that is no longer taught in North America. I had never even heard of it. And then one day I started feeling so convicted to cover my head while praying and doing devotions. Then I started studying it and there are lots of passages in the Bible about it. I wear my scarf everyday because I’m always praying, prophesying, and talking to GOD. So just literally tonight I had some half wigs and I said to myself well I’ll continue to wear my scarf but I’ll have my wig hanging out underneath trying to spice it up lol and here I see your video. I think it's down to personal conviction whether to cover the hair fully or not and when to cover. I cover partially and full time, I'm not married. When my profile pic was taken my ponytail could be seen. Each to their own conviction.
If it was due to that, I do not think God would have prompt me to ensure that his elect daughters get this message. So it definitely does not go down to personal conviction
This makes sense to me because I see many who support headcovering but still use it as a way to bring glory to themselves in the way they style them, making sure that it still looks beautiful. So I see this as somewhat defeating the purpose. I feel led to cover again (I had the conviction years ago but stopped). The reasons for doing so seem a lot more clear to me now, especially when you talked about the angel.

I’m currently wearing braids very horrendous I know but I’m glad God has called me back to waking in Holiness with Him by doing things such as not wearing pants anymore and covering my hair. It is first mentioned in Genesis 3 i believe. Rachel covers her head before meeting a prominent man. Man was made for the glory of God. Woman was made for the glory of man. I recently was led to do this to remind me to keep my thoughts whilst praying. My mind wonders so. I was spiritually tried and blessed by Holy the spirit within two weeks. So humbling. 🙌 God states our hair should not be braided in His worship. So clearly covering doesn't have to cover all hair or be opaque. Well, now I must pray about this. I used to assume that all the hair must be covered. Then it was pointed out that in the Bible is says HEAD covering and not hair covering. But if your words are true and that was a true angel of God that spoke to you, then this is wrong. Thank you for bringing this up. I will ask God about this. P.S. You ask WHY one could let hair show at the bottom. For me, it is a matter of more hat choices. For instance in the summer when it is very hot if I may wear a straw hat and allow the hair to show at the bottom, or a cap, etc. it would be cooler and also much easier to wear and can be put on quickly without having to fuss with anything.

I'm torn wondering if our covering should be distinct enough that its obvious that it is a Christian belief and not a fashion statement. I wear a Mennonite style veil and not every inch of my hair is covered. There are also the Mennonites who wear a mall style and so do the Amish. Are these not sufficient since the Bible doesn't mention a specific style?

The bible specified that a woman's LONG hair is her glory. So if the locks are covered, but the short roots (the front) are still exposed , then that may still be okay because the lenght seen is short.
This sounds like personal conviction , it’s beautiful that you have your personal convictions on head covering but you can’t apply YOUR conviction to Christian women as a whole
In Eastern European and Greek Orthodox Church, which is the only Christian Church from the origin which always kept the tradition of woman with veil at mass and also while praying, it’s normal to wear the veil showing the hair at the front. Everybody always weared the veil like this. When did Christian woman started covering all the hair? I can’t reconstruct the origin

Romans 12:2 talks about the world and fashion maybe, but I was not referring to the world (which says a woman should now go with the head uncovered) but the early church is not the world... early Christians and nuns always had the veil like this, they were not woman of the world but instead holy women...

I want to please The Lord Our God with my soul, my spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. I must be reminded in this way, this is the only way i will listen. Are you a Christian? The Bible never said hair covering. It said said Corinthians head covering. Not hair covering. It’s so nice to have a personal conviction, but I can’t find that in the Bible. And the Bible spicifically says not to trust people who claim they are of god but can not back what they say up with the Bible.

Truth be told.. God doesn't want people that are married to put each other away.. but and if you do.. you have a choice to leave and remain unmarried.. or be reconciled back together.. but you cannot marry someone else while your ex spouse is still alive.. because if you do.. it would be considered adultery.. but and if they die.. you can marry someone else but in the Lord.. do we have to cover our hair all time. will we go to hell just because we don't cover our hair. yes i cover my hair when i pray and prophesis. please let me know please. i am just not used to it. i was born as catholic but i have converted to christianity.
We are instructed to cover when we pray or prophesy. I encourage you to loom up what the latter entails. I think some sisters choose to wear coverings full time is because it is more convenient for them (rather than taking it on and off) because they pray, witness to, teach and the like so often during the day. It's more practical for them. I
Agree with lisarene. We definitely are commanded to wear a head covering while praying and prophesying. It all depends on when you pray and talk to others about God and jesus. There are times when I'm out without my hair covering and I'm talking with someone and the topic of God or Jesus comes up but I don't have my head covering. So, for me it's just more convenient to have my hair covering on at least most of the time while I'm out. Especially while I'm praying and fasting and I have to go out as well.

Greetings my sister. It is not up to us to make that judgment or else we will be defeating the whole purpose of spreading God’s love. I get where you coming from because I battled with the same issue for the longest of time until God showed me that some of those people are actually people he has put his power in and in time, it will manifest so all I had to do was just to trust God and keep my eyes on the cross. Once you share the message and people decide to reject it, it is no longer in your powers to try to force things because then that will make them flee, it is now in God’s hands. All we can do is to pray for them and trust God’s process regardless of how slow it may seem in our eyes but trusting God is the best decision a believer could ever make. In conclusion, don’t stop church because of people’s behavior. Yes, we are called to serve but not to force the gospel into people. Be patient and trust the Lord. If you feel that the church you currently in is not for you then ask God about it. State your case before him and wait for his verdict. If he says to you, “ I want you to stay.” Then you will just have to and with a free heart because he and he alone knows better. One thing I can tell you is that we are never in a situations by mistake, it is never a coincidence when it comes to true messengers of God, there is always a bigger plan
claudine Diba The Holy Spirit will phase you into that space my sister. It will automatically happen without effort, Grace will step in. It doesn’t have to feel like a burden. So until then, you can cover in church, in prayer, while reading the Bible because you in fellowship with God at that point in time. The Holy Spirit will guide you. If you haven’t reached that point to cover full time, keep your natural hair, natural. Don’t take it out of its natural form, don’t plait it, don’t relax it( no chemicals on it); don’t blow dry it but opt for air-dry, apply oils that will soften your hair, look after your hair and wear it natural when going to school or work until such time that the Holy Spirit converts you to cover full time. Until then, NEVER go into the presence of God without covering your hair.
claudine Diba Yes sister, that’s what it means. 1 Peter 3:3( Please read the verse ). No braiding on your natural hair as a protective style. I used to plait my natural hair without any extensions but God called me out of it and led me to that verse.

It all depends on conviction, if you are convicted to cover full time, even better. Most important thing is that you never go into the presence of God naked ( without head covering).
Your head covering is not important. It's your spirit that's important. Your spot or blemish is not your head it's your spirit. Get your self ready for Jesus return.

I don’t really know but before I would cover my hair I guess maybe I didn’t want people to see my messy hair or if I put too much oil on it but I did cover my mom would say I looked like an old lady that I should do styles with the covering before I went out most of the time I would cover and I just felt it was right when I covered but my hair is plainted right now and my mom spared time to do that and I feel or think it would be bade to just removed and she was busy but made time to do it so I decided to cover my hair along with the plainted hair and I decided to leave it on for a while but my head should be covered and when I take it out I will keep my hair raw and covered. As I always explain to the other ladies. Covering full time all depends on conviction. Some ladies are not convinced to cover full time meanwhile some are. If you are not convicted to wear head covering full time then ensure that your hair is in its natural form( no plaiting, hair drying, coloring, relaxing and ect). Basically no hair manipulation. And for those who are convicted to wear their head covering full time is because of the level they in. Reason one would cover full time is because they have come to an understanding that they are the church of Christ and therefore they are always in fellowship with God. Not only in church but even at home, they are constantly worshipping, reading the word, praying so the time to take of the head covering is not presented to them. All that depends on your spiritual maturity

Always look at the most popular reason why something like hoods is used in our day and age or even previously then that will give you direction as to continue with it or not. Hoods are used to hide oneself from being identified or give that cool look and we as Christians are not about that hence celebrities love hoodies. Wear your head covering
If your head is not bold and your hair is in its natural form then you don’t have to wear it at home. Some ladies are convicted to wear it full time and not take it off at all meanwhile some are not at that stage so it all depends on which stage of spiritual maturity you in. If u not convicted to wear it full time, then keep your hair natural. No styles, no blow drying, no attachments, no relaxers, no trimming, no coloring. Just keep it as raw as you were given it. And let the Lord Jesus grow your hair for you and style you the way he sees fit or the way you have asked him to if he permits your request. The hair issue is a challenge, especially for us with African hair but I choose to trust my Lord Jesus with my hair regardless of the frustrations
@@marylinechantel Thanks so much 😊❤. I have another question if u don't mind, are we allowed to wear bonnets? I am not sure because it is a very popular thing now and I know that popular things are not of god. I was considering bonnets because it seems more easy to put on and it still covers the hair properly in my opinion but I don't want to do anything without advice.
1 Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. Hair is the covering Paul said that a woman shaving her head was without covering and that hair is a woman's glory and a covering. When he was talking about men wearing a covering he was talking about men with long hair.
1 Corinthians 11:5 ; 1 Corinthians 11: 10 ; 1Corinthians 11: 16. A covering for her because it’s her glory but not that of the Lord. Not that of her head. Her covering honors her, not her head. For her to honor her head, she ought to have a symbol of authority on her head
@@marylinechantel A symbol of authority on your head is not something covering your head a husband is also a woman's covering. Pastors of your church can also be considered a covering in other aspects. If he wasn't talking about hair as a covering why was he talking about men having long hair in the same breath as talking about them having a head covering? And talking about women shaving their heads in the same breath as women having a covering?

Maryline Chantel I can definitely believe God has different orders and desires for different people. I would never try to tell anyone what God did or didn't tell them. I was curious about covering my head and went to God about it. l read those scriptures a little after that. My Pastor actually preached on the subject as well. So now I understand what a covering is.
