Great work. I’m in the middle of setting up my 2004 single cab Canter I bought in July. I’ve chucked on on of those self adhesive mailbox type letter Ns over the T, as it really is a Canner not a Canter. I bought a partial built slide on unit I’m completing to my specs, including building a ‘garage’ box to fill in under the bed overhang for storage of jerrycans etc. Mine is a single cab, but has a 3.5m tipper body, and two large toolboxes behind the cab, the passenger side one accessed up three steps, which I’ll be making into the ‘bathroom’. It was originally a council truck here in Tassie. I’ve taken it on a few tracks here outside Hobart, and regular use on our farms. I need to keep the tipper tray, and it’s associated gear, which unfortunately adds some extra weight for travelling.
What a beast, looks like it would go just about anywhere, great driving as well. Any chance of a rig run-down video explaining mods etc, we are trying to decide now between fuso/canter vs Isuzu for our expedition type motorhome project starting later this year, was leaning toward Isuzu but this thing looks like a weapon.
Awesome truck, never new they could do that. Do you have any photos or place I could go to see your canopy set up. Looks very similar to what I want to do cheers
Would you be willing to do a walk around explaining your setup. Especially motor drive train and suspension etc. Would love to have a similar set up. Please??
this thing is a tank. good job. do you have a front locker? is there enough torque in the motor? would you fit a bigger turbo? trying to decide between the canter and the Isuzu. how is the ride on the hwy, please?
Hi mate thanks, I have a front locker now but I didn't at the time of this video or any or the other videos, plenty of torque in 1st 2nd and 3rd even on 40s. Yes I would fit a bigger turbo but it isn't a priority, I've installed a bigger intercooler and it makes a big difference. On the highway drives at 110 no problem even small uphills but slows Dow to 90 in long or step uphills. Rides smoothly with a suspension upgrade and better shocks. Can't tell you much about the isuzu only that off road it has bugger all flex
@@peregrineoverland2837 I lined up one hole with an existing one in the chasis and drilled an other one in the bullbar there's some pics on instagram @instacanter rather early post
