Johnny Crawford, legendary TV actor and singer sits in with popular L.A. band, The Hightoppers for a spontaneous Western Swing version of the George Gershwin classic Lady Be Good.
When I look at Johnny Crawford..its hard to believe he's a old man..i always see him as a very sweet young boy on the Rifle Man !! You might be gone Johnny but you will live in our hearts forever !!
I'm watching the vision right now. Johnny was such a great actor even as a young kid and he didn't get a big head or get spoiled or obnoxious. That shows he had a heck of a good upbringing.
Was a pen pal of his in the early ‘60s. We both had horses and loved to ride. He never acted like he was a movie ⭐️ star. We wrote about horses and westerns and more horses. We kind of outgrew the “pen pal” thing and the letters were few an far between. I get testy eyed to this day and the memories come flooding back when I hear his song “Cindys Birthday” as in his last letter was about a week before my birthday, and in that letter he wrote “Happy Birthday, Cindy”. Soon his great hit came out. I always dreamed he was singing it to ME🥱LOL I know you are now in Heavens Choir😇
He had a great voice but i think his manager failed in getting him great songs to sing. He could have been much more famous if his career had been directed in the right direction.
I am amazed at Mr. Crawford how beautiful his voice was in later days as when he was a youngster Wow!!! And how true you will continue to be little Mark so polite and well mannered, so helpful and kind towards his pa in the Rifleman something about them it was the love and care they had for one another, such a big heart, they looked out for each other and it flowed out to others, they never thought only about themselves they were not selfish I enjoy the Rifleman every chance I have to see it.Olivia C 👌🤠🙌🎤🎼💕
Even though he is about 30 some yrs older than me , Johnny Crawford a.k.a Mark McCain will always be like a little brother to me. He's been in my household and a part of my life since I was s baby
"What can one say, that's not enough to know such an actor as Johnny Crawford?" He is truly one of the "Good Guys", and as a man, I'm happy to say, I love him for the person he is, and the parts he played, may God Bless him always.
@@frankpaya690: Yes, he was obviously on his way down physically here. He wasn’t a thin person when he was healthy. His death is listed as being from Alzheimer’s and Covid.
He probably always liked these type of songs while growing up. I can relate cause I'm three years younger than he is and I loved Al Jolson who I believe died a year after I was born, not sure.
If you mean because he's now 75 so when you wrote this 74 but he looks good and he's singing well in this video. Sadly at age 76 he's stricken with Alzheimer's his wife Charlotte is taking care of him at their home they set up a GoFundMe to help with expenses it's very expensive sad what life does to you in the end.. but as another commenter said he'll always be little Mark...
Johnny, love your music. Please take high dosage Vitamin C daily to counteract Alzheimer's; it is a known remedy. Watch youtube videos regarding Vitamin C and other vitamin supplements. God bless you.

Johnny does NOT have cancer. I just spoke to his wife on the phone a few nights ago, and I have talked to a close friend of theirs. Johnny is 71 years old, but other than that, he's doing just fine. :)
@@tbec3011 HORRIBLE VOICE AND BAND. YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY MISSING THE GOOD OLD DAYS. TYPICAL RIGHT WING TRUMP SUPPORTER. YOU ARE STILL STUCK IN THE 1950S A VERY RACIST TIME THAT YOU MISS... LOSER
