"Lady Clifton's Spirit" by John Dowland.

This is one of my favorite galliards by John Dowland. It is found in Robert Dowland's "Varietie of Lute Lessons" (1610). It was dedicated to Katherine Darcy (Darcie) who became Lady Clifton when she married Gervase Clifton, son of Sir John Clifton. This is a single-take home recording done with an iPhone and an external microphone.

Hi which MS are you using? I have the one from the Cambridge University library, downloaded from Sarge's site. It seems there are some differences, particularly that you are doing variations on the repeats (not that there's anything wrong with that!)
