It's been 40 years since my father took me to our city hall election office to register to vote because it said it's a right that he served in two wars for. He was a union Democrat and I'm proud to still be a democratic because of him .i was always told to vote because your vote does count.

The Republican Party, especially in the House, is becoming overwhelmed by MAGA who is attacking and silencing decent Republicans. It's incredibly sad but until MAGA is rooted out and no longer holds power over the GOP those few decent Republicans who remain will not be able to do much of anything. We need to get a democratic majority in both houses of Congress so we can get rid of MAGA. Only then will decent Republicans have a chance to rebuild their party and have their voice heard again. Disagreement and compromise is an important component of our form of government - it forces it to be more centrists for all Americans. It ensures that all voices and ideals can be heard. But that can't happen with MAGA in control.
