The lyric you were talking about in “Replay” - “Every single day, yeah, I dig a grave, and then I sit inside it wondering if I’ll behave” is about contemplating suicide. She’s saying that she digs her grave, she gets right on the edge of doing it, and then she sits in all of that trauma, and she contemplates “will I behave, does it have to come to this? Is this really necessary?” The song is about how she was sexually assaulted by a record producer, and she’s left with the scars and the trauma because of it.

I'm not sure she wants to attempt "live up" to something. She's an artist and just wants to express herself, this time in the form of electro-pop which I think feels like a home to her. She also explained Chromatica is not a utopia or dystopia, but an observation of today's society. I think you should watch her interview with Zane Lowe. It's very interesting to see how her mind works, the (mental) process she went through and what inspired her to create this world :)
