I feel a slight difference with this album is that she’s really not holding back on the vocals. She’s not trying to peg her vocals into a generic bubblegum cadence, she’s letting those Gaga-esque vocals FLOW. I wonder if Shallow’s success made her realize how much we love her natural voice :)

Imagine hearing this godly song live in a STADIUM?! Along with Replay, it will be world-ending, I fear!!

This entire album, but more particularly this song, has made me feel so much happier and at peace with myself; I feel like I am heard and spoken to. It's been just over two months since this album came out, I still play this song several times a day, and I love to sing along. Lady Gaga's vocals in this song are just plain unreal. There's just something about Engima that makes you feel carefree, happy, and like you can do anything. Hands-down this is the best song from Chromatica. I cannot wait until I can go to a concert to hear her belt this out.

The whole album is great but Babylon, Replay, Enigma and 911 are so extra good

okay, this is proof that lady gaga has the best vocals for a pop icon. she's the most talented writer of the past 2 decades, literally. she doesn't need to curse or anything to prove a point. even when she talks about sexual songs, she writes them in a very poetic way. like you literally can't understand what she's trying to say until you decode it or wait for her to explain the song. or just interpret it by your own vision.

To me, this song represents her falling into her psychotic break. She can’t decipher reality anymore, the desperation in her voice is absolutely chilling. (Next, in Replay, she is officially gone in her trauma.) It’s heavy stuff. The beauty though, is that it’s sweetly wrapped in classic house beat that makes you feel uplifted and euphoric while being desperate... such is the dichotomy of a psychotic break. BRAVO.
