it's crazy how so many regular people want to be rich and famous but so many rich and famous people just want to be regular

As a victim of human trafficking I appreciate Gaga speaking on this. I was raped and sold from the ages of 13-16 and it mentally hurts me daily. And her talking about objectification resonates with me so well cause at first I thought that’s what I needed to survive and now it’s what triggers me

It’s basically an unbalanced development of character vs personality. It’s who you are vs who you are to others.

He is the BEST interviewer. Did he really just show EMPATHY as an interviewer. Wow.

"if you isolate yourself for too long, you'll end up staring off into space somewhere by yourself"

Words can't describe how much I love her. She's so honest with herself and others. Her music has helped me get through tough times in my life. Chromatica is such a masterpiece. My daughters love her too. She's a lovely and brave soul.

"I was writing about the trauma in my father's life that became my trauma in some ways"

I agree with her. It's very easy to justify or romantize pain (physical or mental) by saying " this event made me stronger, made me realize X, made me apreciate Y". No. No one needs to suffer to be anyone or to learn anything. Toxic positivity

She basically said what everybody should know about her. Stefani and Gaga are different people; Gaga is her celebrity side, and Stefani is her normal person side.

"I thought I could fix my dad" That brought tears to my eyes

And THIS is why she is an amazing human. Authenticity, kindness, and real talk combined with an abundance of gifts.

No lie. Before hearing this interview, I would have grabbed my phone to take a selfie with her if I ever saw her! I have been a fan since The Fame and it pains me to her hear talk like this, but like everyone else, she is human and deserves to be treated as one. I hope the people who can directly reach her constantly remind her that she is loved and that she continues to find reasons to love herself. Lady Gaga, if you’re reading this: you are an inspiration and you are loved by so many! 💖

Dealing with PTSD, I can’t even imagine how hard it must be to have people constantly pawing at you & trying to touch you all the time.... I can’t deal with being touched & am REALLY trying to get over it because I miss it, but PTSD/trauma makes it hard... you get anxious and afraid.. so I don’t even know how she handles it honestly... I have overwhelming empathy for her 💜

I remember Trixie and Katya quoting Gaga's "Fame is like a prison" saying that is the most pretentious thing ever but we can never imagine what it really is like to be in her shoes. Her life is one lived in constant isolation for fear of safety. She can't go do normal everyday things we take for granted. If she went out in sweats she'll be front page on tabloids. Strangers will take photos of you and your friends see you as a walking ATM machine. The level of scrutiny and attention these world famous celebs have to endure is something we can never fully imagine. It's all glamorous on paper, but probably a nightmare in real life.

I just can’t get why people cannot comprehend that celebrities are just as human as anybody else. People are people.

She is such a beautiful soul. And I'm glad that she decided to stick around bit longer. We would be lesser without her loving heart and compassionate soul. The world needs kindness in truck loads and she pours it into this world wherever she goes and whoever she meets.

I ask myself the very same question everyday: why I should live other than to be here for my family? I've been listening to "911" on repeat. It's as if someone finally understood my pain.

One of the greatest things about Chromatica it's the fact that Gaga is helping a lot of people all there.... This album has some power to heal the mental breakdowns because It comes from a place of love, realness and help. Gaga's story is an exemple to keep going on... day after day.... until we'll love ourselves again.

Lady Gaga is pure, raw talent. Madonna doesn't even come close to what this woman is.

Just because she’s a pop star doesn’t mean she’s perfect.

I pray for famous people as well as every person who struggles with mental illness. It's very real and they're human. May God use them to reach millions of suffering people.

She is very intense and she feels everything intensively. Hypersensitiveness is not easy (I know what I am talking about) but it is emplified because of the fame. I send her a lots of love!

It’s amazing sometimes how someone who obviously has so much to offer and is so amazingly talented can be so troubled. I could have literally said this entire interview word for word. Minus the fame & singing part, but the anxiety, the loneliness, the suicidal thoughts? All of it. I've always been a fan of her music but since this new album came out, I have completely fallen in love with her

She's amazing. "I Didn't really understand why I should live, other than to be with my family." That's deep. She has a huge heart and more talent in her pinky finger than most have in their whole bodies.

Happy to see her overcoming her depression; we all have our times of darkness and celebrities seem to have fewer opportunities to open up about them to friends.

I was suicidal for over 25 years. After my husband died it was EVERYDAY, I wanted out. I'm going to torture everyone around me that made me stay! JK. I'm doing so much better.. so believe in a healing and receive!

In the words of Maria Callas "You are born an artist or you are not. And you stay an artist, dear, even if your voice is less of a fireworks. The artist is always there."

This lady helped me love myself, gave me confidence to feel comfortable in my body and personality from being bullied at school

"It's not always easy if you have mental issues to let other people see." You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you do, you scare people away or face ridicule, and if you don't they think you're being rude when you set boundaries to protect your mental health. Or, worse, they judge you as lazy/self-centered when you can't meet obligations or expectations. Our culture is not kind to those struggling with mental illness.

So inspired.. Everyone has gone through all those things in life.. In the end, we all accept ourselves and learned to love ourselves

i’ve rewatches this multiple times, it’s so comforting

💞 I love everything about her ... I feel like she’s so REAL! Ive loved her for so many years now! Her personality is so nice...and of course I love every song that she’s ever made! And who else was supposed to go to the Chromatica ball this summer?! I was! I know all the words to every one of her songs! I am her biggest fan!

I've seen the Netflix documentary for her. She's always been so truthful with herself and raw. It's really inspiring. I've watched her since poker face and love what she does for herself and her fans.

I always liked her music but I loved her after seeing her documentary a few yrs back. I was lying in a hospital bed myself when I saw it and it helped me get through what I was going through. She seemed vapid to me up to that point but admittedly I didn't know much about her outside her music, but that doc really let me "see" her and relate. I truly admire this person.
