She’s seems off and shaky because she was fully into Harley Queen character, for the Joker 2 movie. Sources close to Gaga while filming has said that “She was focused on mapping out a complex human being, battling grief, long-term trauma, and a desire to find a soul mate. She lived in Harley 24/7, talking, moving and embracing her weaknesses.” Initially she would not perform at the Oscars. It was a last minute decision to attend and perform. If you see red carpet pictures you can see in here eyes she’s struggling to be present as Gaga and not Harley.
I think she seemed a bit “off” because she was in the middle of filming her Joker 2 scenes as Harley Quinn. She literally filmed scenes that morning, went to the Oscars, then left and went straight back to filming - all because the Oscars producers begged and begged her to be there lol

@@rajisraj415 nope. It wasn’t good. The super close up, the pitchy vocal, an acoustic arrangement on a song that’s not strong enough to have an acoustic performance. Overall a big mess. Her performances are often hit or miss.

I was waiting specifically, out of all the reaction channels I watch, for YOU to react to this. I didn’t realize you already had and it had been taken down (that’s such a bummer, I’m sorry that happened). You are the only reactor that commented on the fact that her lips are chapped. I noticed that too. The reason I’m glad you commented on it is because, I, as not only a makeup lover and enthusiast for about 25 years but also someone who did all kinds of makeup on myself during my 12 years as a self portrait photographer, can tell you with 99.9% certainty that she isn’t wearing a stitch of makeup AT ALL. What’s interesting is she actually arrived on the red carpet in a gown and dramatic makeup look but she intentionally scrubbed it all off for this performance. In the age of HD, where you can see every bump, discolouration, imperfection, peach fuzz, just EVERYTHING, to see her like this, clearly in a very emotional state, at the Oscars, the MOST glamorous, elegant, and stuffy Hollywood event ever, is shocking in its own way. It’s also so very HUMAN. She looks like a real person, not a “celebrity”. It’s funny because she hugely changed how people presented themselves at award shows and the quality of their performances at the beginning of her career with her unconventional take on fashion, beauty, art, her high concept performances, the statements she'd make with just the clothes she wore (even political statements) and HOW she performed. Now, she’s subverted everyone’s expectations again by going in the exact opposite direction, stripping it all back, and it’s almost, if not more, shocking and impactful. Very few celebrities are willing to be that emotionally, mentally, and physically vulnerable and raw ever, let alone in front of a room of their peers and millions of people around the world. She had, like, 4 days to create this performance and she’s clearly exhausted and emotional but that’s what makes it so special. The fact she’s willing to share that with people because it’s important to her and she knows it’s important to us is something that I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for. The amount of respect I have for this woman is immense. The fact that she changed the line from “but don’t you give up on yourself” to “one time I gave up on myself” AND the entire arrangement of the song, which isn’t normally done because people want to hear the original song that’s being nominated, goes to show that this performance was personal to her. Tony Scott, who the song is dedicated to, actually passed away in 2012, but he passed away by taking his own life. The Oscars doesn’t normally do “In Memoriams” for people who passed away 11 years ago. How she performed the song, the changes she made to the arrangement and lyrics, the little speech she gave at the beginning, it makes perfect sense when you see who it’s dedicated to and know the tragedy of his passing, as well as how much tragedy and trauma Gaga has already been through. She’s been to the darkest places more than once. She also seems extremely compassionate and empathetic. I think she soaks up the emotions of others and feels everything very intensely. I hope that, as she continues her journey into acting, and, specifically, into method acting, she truly takes care of herself and has lots of help and support, both personal and professional. I don’t want her sacrificing her health for the sake of her art. I just wish her the absolute best in every way. 🥹❤ P.s. I also have fibromyalgia (the chronic illness Gaga has), and chronic pain, as well as another chronic illness and some mental health stuff. She has had fibromyalgia for almost a decade and in her documentary, she gets the same trigger point injections that I used to get for a while. Let me just say that the fact she can do what she does, alongside her pain, fibro, trauma, and mental health struggles, is something that leaves me in awe and inspires me greatly. Having her as a representative for an invisible but awful and debilitating nervous system disorder like fibromyalgia gives me hope. I adore your channel and I’m SO GLAD I found you last year. I watch you when I’m struggling because I adore your personality. You seem like you’d be so fun to hang out with. I’m SO SORRY for the novel of a comment! Second of all, you absolutely nailed it - she is so raw, and it’s so beautiful and refreshing to me - that’s why i get so frustrated when people criticize her performance merely because she wasn’t all dolled up. It’s not like she didn’t care, like you said, it was very intentional!! Anyway yes everything you said was just so good and i’m glad Gaga can be someone who inspires you since you also suffer from fibromyalgia. I'm not sure if you already listen to them/have been recommended them before, but my favourite band Misterwives is truly amazing. Their ep Wrongside is the best music I've every heard. They're also entering a new era so it could be worth getting into for the channel!

No pressure reacting to them of course I'm sure you have many great artists lined up but it could be good to keep in mind, I'm so excited for their new era :) I don't even know how into their new stuff you would be haha but that would be up to you.
