Grigio Girls is about her group of girl friends and particularly about their friend Sonja, who was fighting cancer at the time. They all wanted to be strong in front of Sonja but then they would get together without Sonja and drink wine and cry letting their emotions out. Sonja passed away in 2017. :(
The beautiful thing about Gaga's music is because she's not afraid to experiment with her voice, style, genre or sound it creates a space where there is a bit of something for everyone. There will be at least one song, phrase, hook or beat someone will connect with. Someone will have felt seen.. What sucks is people (including little monsters at times) try to define her sound & put her into a box. They declare a certain era as her best when the truth is the era or album that they are specifically supporting was actually meant for them(:
I lost my grandma two years before this album came out. When I went to the Joanne World Tour, the date just so happened to be on my grandma’s birthday. Just imagine how wrecked I was when I first heard Joanne, (song) to when I heard her sing it live on my grandma’s birthday. Lots and lots of tears that night.
Not sure if you’ve done it, but Gaga has a song called “Till It Happens to You”. A gut wrencher but lovely, and would highly recommend watching her Oscars performance of it.
Joanne is still my favorite album by Lady Gaga, it has a very special part in my heart because she released in a very hard time of my life and it helped me a lot to hold on
"Joanne" is an interesting album because it's very much a response to the general public's confusion and distaste toward "ARTPOP". So after people seemingly got "tired" of her out-there fashion and electronic dance music, Gaga pulled a complete 180 to remind everyone how very talented she was. She sang the "Sound of Music" medley at the Oscars in 2015, earning a standing ovation from the audience and praise from Julie Andrews herself, and then she worked on this whole album with Mark Ronson to hone in on that rock/country/folk sound. She also used the album's new sound to convince the NFL to book her for the Superbowl halftime show in 2017. And of course, she would soon after start working on A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper, which would earn her the "Best Original Song" Oscar for "Shallow".
Already enjoyed this but then when you put on the cowboy hat during John Wayne, that was perfect 🤠 Also I highly recommend checking out Gaga's video for Marry The Night. I guarantee it will make you cry. But it is amazing and one of the best videos she's ever made 💙
This is by far the best Gaga album reaction I've ever seen. You were spot on with everything you said throughout the entire album and it was so fun watching this. Thank you.
Chromatica and Joanne are my favorite albums from her and yes she is a hard working artist and she has some health problems aswell (PTSD and Fibromyalgia which is a chronic muscle pain, there are moments when she can't do her shows because of extreme pain). Even if she didn't met her late aunt who died bc of lupus, she feels close to her because Joanne was also an artist just like Gaga and Gaga's real name is also Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta so her name is also Joanne aswell. Sonia (the person who she talks in Grigio Girls) also died in 2017 when she was shooting the last part from her movie A Star Is Born (that whole story is also shocking bc in the movie she was singing a song about her partner who died in the movie). She's honestly an amazing talent and overall a very sweet and kind person.
I really enjoyed watching someone who is really educated in music like yourself. Your reaction to every song was pure excitement for me. The best reaction I’ve ever seen on a lady Gaga reaction. Loved when you found out that it was Florence from Florence and the machine.
So glad you enjoyed this album, especially Hey Girl which is so overlooked Watching your reaction and listening to the album along was a great experience for me, thank you!
You should listen also to "The Cure" by Lady Gaga! It was a song she released during Joanne Era but after releasing the album! But is also a must for that era ⚡
Hey man, amazing reaction haha totally into it. Consider doing Marina starting from her latest album "Ancient dreams in a modern land" i am pretty positive you're gonna like it. Keep up the the nice, honest content. Ciao!
And also you should react to her documentary on Netflix "Gaga Five Foot Two" it's a lot of behind the scenes while she was recording that album and before her Halftime Superbowl show 🔥
Hermano, me encantan tus reacciones, te sugiero que reacciones a otro album de lady gaga denominado "I Star Is Born" o bien, a la presentación del "Carpool Karaoke". Saludos.-
I have always wondered if LG isn't referring to herself (in a way) when she sings about Joanne. Her middle name is Joanne and she has had suicidal thoughts. I have always worried about her.
You should listen to the piano version of Joanne called Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'). I think it's a better version and there's a video for it, too. That version, Million Reasons, Diamond Heart, Dancin' in Circles, Angel Down and Grigio Girls are my favorite songs on this album.
Haha your reaction when you realized Florence and Gaga were singing together. Basically us the gays when we found out (even before the album was released), almost losing our shit.
"Joanne Germanotta (born Joanne Stefani Germanotta on March 12, 1955, and died on December 18, 1974) was Joe Germanotta's sister who died at 19 years old of Lupus. Although Joanne passed away before Gaga's birth, she says she always felt a strong connection to her and that because of that, have two hearts."- google To think that Lady gaga was named after her aunt joanne who is also a big art person. STEFANI JOANNE ANGELINA GERMANOTTA is GAGA's whole name
Nice reaction! If you enjoyed ARTPOP then you should check out Surrender album by Rufus du Sol their sound is similar to Gaga. They make dance/electronic music
Could you react to “Cosas de la vida” by Paloma Mami? She’s a Chilean singer and she’s A M A Z I N G. You’ll love her, I promise “Cosas de la vida” is her last song but you can react also to her album “Sueños de Dalí”, it’s amazing too Btw, I love Lady Gaga reactions 😍
