Well, Madonna is the mother of modern pop, but Gaga is more than a pop star. She is pop, rock, folk, jazz, blues, even country and gospel. Gaga is more complete as an artist, that cannot be denied at this point. They both are leaders, anyway.
I do too. The raw emotion in it just ends up being a little bit more powerful, but I understand why she cleaned it up a bit for the album version. Glad she included both. Kinda bummed only Japanese Deluxe got the Perfect Illusion work tape version, though. :-\ I'm petting that's pretty nice too.
Sometimes whenever I feel down I always look up and play this video. Its comforting. Makes me feel like I'm not alone and someone is listening to me. Makes me feel like she's singing this just for me.
I confess I am lost In the age of the social On our knees, take a test To be lovin' and grateful Shots were fired on the street By the church where we used to meet Angel down, angel down But the people just stood around I'm a believer, it's a trial Foolish and weaker, oh, oh, oh I'd rather save an angel down I'm a believer, it's chaos Where are our leaders? Oh, oh, oh I'd rather save an angel down Doesn't everyone belong In the arms of the sacred Why do we pretend we're wrong? Has our young courage faded? Shots were fired on the street By the church where we used to meet Angel down, angel down Why do people just stand around? I'm a believer, it's a trial Foolish and weaker, oh, oh, oh I'd rather save an angel down I'm a believer, it's chaos Where are our leaders? Oh, oh, oh I'd rather save an angel down I'm a believer, it's a trial Foolish and weaker, oh, oh, oh I'd rather save an angel down I'm a believer, it's chaos Where are our leaders? Oh, oh, oh I'd rather save an angel down
She's that angel... she was already sent down to heal the world with music and love, to bring us happines and peace and to teach us all how to love and how to be kind to one another all we need to do is open our hearts to really listen and stop fighting each other and start loving more
This is definitely my favorite song on this album, if not my favorite of hers ever. It kind of reminds me of songs like Stevie Nicks' "Landslide" and Melanie's "Lay Down (Candles In The Wind)". I love it.
Goosebumps. This is the reason lady Gaga and stevie nicks are my favourite artists of all time. They are strong influential women who push the boundaries and do it to send the most important messages though their beautiful writing.
I am a little monster, and Irish. And I know it has been 40 years but I connect this to Bloody Sunday. And I know this is about Trayvon Martin. But when I hear this song I instantly think of Bloody Sunday and the 26 innocent people who got shot, and this song is just so powerful. Thank you, Gaga, for giving us such a powerful song! And giving people justice.
Honestly here I can feel her. I do like this song and the way she sings it even if I don't like the whole album and I often criticize her. It's not that I hate her, it's that I want her to write and sing most of her songs like this one 'cause I know she can.
