This performance took her career to elevated heights, made the entire world take notice. The vibe for her at the show post performance even shifted, on the very same night. Just phenomenal. It's up there with Madonna's performance of Vogue at the VMAs.

I swear they edited the sound when they uploaded it to youtube years later because I watched it live and I know that the crowd gasping/screaming almost drowned out her vocals at the end.

This was also the VMAs where there was a tribute performance to Michael Jackson who died in June 2009. Of course his sister Janet had to perform Scream! It was a great tribute. This VMAs was packed with greatness. ❤️❤️

In my honest opinion, this is Lady Gaga's MOST ICONIC performance of ALL TIME. As a long time Gaga fan, I think that no other performance had ever topped this. The artistry, the theatricality, the vocals, the message. This will go down in history. P.S. I just subscribed. Loved your reaction you guys!

This is, hands down, one of her best live performances ever. I'm not a big fan of pop music but I really love Lady gaga, I'm looking forward to see her live one day. She's everything an artist could be and beyond. You need to check her "scheiße" performance in Montreal where her hip broke.. And she continued until it was done! Truly a fucking queen

This performance is iconic! Do you guys like Gaga/know her albums? That could be a cool little mini-series, especially revisiting her stuff now in 2020. Also, wanted to throw out the idea of reacting to some One Direction stuff. Their albums (even though there are some gems in them the first two are very standard boyband pop and then their following 3 which are great), videos, "iconic" moments, and the boys solo stuff -- they're great, underrated, and it's the 10 year anniversary so I think you'd hit that good spot of a lot of stuff to react to as well as an audience for it. Just some food for thought 😉 Anyways nice video, thanks for the work you guys do with the channel, & good vibes during this crazy time we're all in!

If you listen to just the audio, you can clearly hear the audience gasp. Remember this was only like 7 months after Poker Face got on the charts. Everyone was used to polished, 80s / futuristic glam Gaga. Then she did this and dropped Bad Romance like 4 weeks later. Just brilliant.
