I can see why people associate this song with having to do with Princess Diana, however, I believe this song to be more along the lines of a suicide note from Lady Gaga herself. This was a cry for help, and I'm glad she's still with us to this day.

I miss these days so much...

I believe this song is not so much about celebrity suicide, but how sometimes she just wants to be a 'normal' person and not be famous. I'm sure she LOVES being famous, but being famous is probably difficult, especially since she's been famous basically for... forever. She's never really lived an actual normal life. It's kind of sad, really. You can see how much emotion she puts into this particular song. I love her with all of my heart.

It amazes me how open she is with her fans and how shes not afraid to be that venerable in-front of her fans. I will forever have so much respect for this woman and how talented she is.

Not trying to get into conspiracy theories, but it is still curious that when she decided to start singing this song regularly on the BTW Ball tour, she was 26. And 27 is a number with a lot of weight when it comes to suicidal behaviour in the entertainment industry (Amy, Cobain, Joplin, Hendrix, Morrison, ...). When I watch her sing this song, it always seems she is sending a note, warning, preparing us or something. Maybe I'm seeing too much. I don't know if it was merely a coincidence, but it's a fact they cancelled the rest of the tour in february, due to the "surgery". She was about to be 27 a few weeks later.
