I wanted to add, that I keep certain videos bookmarked to learn from and I think this is an example that is worth keeping. It's simple. It's honest and it's a great back story and that is what sells the "product." Music artists from the old school hate being thought of as a "commodity," but that is the nature of it. The beauty of this video is that it humanizes the "product," and a lot of people will learn from it and see themselves in it. I'm also Facebooking it. Nice job. Great detail!
i saw her when she opened for julia nunes a week or two ago. i had never heard of her before and was not expecting anything from her. but she blew me away and now i cant stop listening to her albums hah
Hi, I am a retired freelance writer and photojournalist, presently learning video production by doing, but it's pretty much the same thing as journalism. I was trying to explain to my computer tech, the psychology of color in video and as one CEO told me; "study your competition." Well, Dale and I watched this video and as a writer, I really like the background story! And I know the camera is handheld and not on tripod, but it works and implies "cool." I wish all interviews were that easy.
I completely understand what she says about the bible, and I'm glad she's honest about it. You don't have to be religious to find it interesting...it kind of makes more sense as a work of fiction, anyway, and the imagery is very useful for poems and lyrics. Cool girl!
