Every so often i go back and watch all of these Queen’s Speech videos because they hold such a specific form of nostalgia for me. They’re also SO fucking good.
Americans seem to be confused... A lot of black people from the UK speak a kind of Caribbean/"Jamaican" slang, which is why she sounds "Jamaican". It's those with Caribbean decent mainly, but also those of African decent. Even some Asians/white people have started speaking this way. Apparently, black Canadians do, too, due to the high Caribbean population.
Devs Momo I think you misunderstood the point I was making in that sentence. It wasn't the presence of Jamaicans in Canada that I was referring to, but the use of Caribbean/Jamaican-based slang. There was no stupidity present.

I don't think the song was necessarily about poor people,it's more her just talking about the cause and effect of what happens when people do stupid stuff. That was barely interpreted in the song though
This is my favourite Queen Speech because there's no annoying thing like "change your panties" or "brush your teeth" or "crispy bacon"... It's just better in my opinion.
