I'm not only FROM Gary, I STILL live in Gary and I see Tito still embracing his roots! The family is famous but they're very nice, down to earth folks. (Behind the scenes "tip": they're mother, Katherine sneaks in and out of the city from time to time unannounced). She's a wonderful woman who is very "low key." God bless them all!

I met Tito in traffic on a Sunday driving down the coast of Malibu, CA. When realized it was him next to me, I waved and said hey, Tito what's happening how you doing? He responded with the same tone like this video, I'm just enjoying the day and you? I responded with the same and said nice to me meet you and we both drove on enjoying the coast. He's a cool cat! The Jackson family actually owned a lot of land in Mississippi but somehow lost it. It ended up having a whole bunch of oil on it and years later a company bought it and made a fortune. Look up their ancestor Nero Jackson. I know their Mom is from Alabama but the Jackson’s are rooted in Mississippi! The sad thing about today's Miss. The north has invaded the region. I happen to stop through and I noticed a strong Chicago influence, not as if it's a bad thing just didn't get that southern vibe. I suppose no different than Atlanta, the region has turned into a melting pot with every state on the map living there.

I’m from Mississippi too, but in May 1979 before a Jacksons’ show in Florida, I stood a few feet from Tito as he exited their limo in the parking lot behind the theater where the show was being preformed. I was able to speak to him and his brother Marlon because they exited the same door. Still a big thrill for me in my life.
