I'm financially independent. I also work a job that can make me $100K+. I have a pension vested, a 401K, a Roth IRA, and a trading account. My income and net worth keep growing. I drive a used Japanese econohatch that I maintain myself. That's part of the reason that I can be financially strong. I live below my means, saved an emergency fund, avoid bad debt, and invest in cashflowing/appreciating assets.
