Some years back in my early twenties, I went for a job interview then i met the security guard who works there. I was also early for my interview so I decided to stand and wait outside until they were ready to talk with me. The security guard approached me then started having conversations with me and I talked with him for a whole hour until they were ready to interview me. The security guard told the manager to be nice to me because i was kind to him. And i did get the job anyways but you should always be kind to people because you may never know the impression you will leave on other people's mindset towards you.

You never act a fool before, you get what it is you're after. If you have to bite your lip, grind your teeth in order to keep your anger and frustration in check, then you do that. In other words, be on your best behavior until you get, what it is you're after. Especially, when you don't really know, who you are speaking to. Basic courtesy 101.
