@stevenbroadbent516 Yes, it was a great time. I loved the late 60s and 70s. I had a 1967 Ford Mustang when I was in high school (1970-1973). By October 1973, I was in the United States Marine, four years.... finished in Oct 1977.
Mr. Puckett, I call you that because I was first taught to call people older Mister out of respect. Secondly, I don’t know you with the familiarity needed to call you by your first name. I’m in my seventies now and have lost family, friends, and people that brought a warmth to the world like your band and you. I know that our lives are reaching the same inevitable end. I seen the negative comments. Sorry some people are unkind. You keep doing what you enjoy while at the same time filling my life with happiness and youthful remembrances. If you have problems with is singing be respectful and kind enough to not listen and to not say anything. From the depths of my heart love, a long life, and a sincere respect for you and your band. May you be blessed.
Excelente amigo, que bien con la misma humildad de siempre, nunca te le subió la fama a la cabeza, y s veían más que una banda eran como una familia. Gracias muchas gracias por su música con cariño desde Chile
Loved him when myself and friends saw him live at Grand Theatre in Leeds, UK last year. We had gone to see a 60s show and he had come over especially from America! 😊
As Milton Berle once said to Sinatra after he took a few years off from touring in the early 70's: "Frank, we're so happy you decided to come out of retirement. Too bad your voice didn't join you." 😅
Ive seen his show many times. The first time was with the Monkees in the late 80s , early 90s. For some reason over the years , he changed his music style. Almost like an opera style. Its annoying really. He still has the power in his voice but plays with the original sound , and ges been doing it for decades. I never understood it. If you want to create the memory , Do It. Stop messing with the phrasing.
Not up to what I’d like to hear! He was a giant, but age has taken its toll, sorry Gary, I love you man. Go out on a high note. You’ve had a beautiful musical career! Like the Beach Boys, it’s time to say thank you for decades of memories, But buh bye! God bless you!
I think he does it very well at this age. And he still looks good. And I think it's very good that he's still performing. Others should imitate that first.
