Kinesiology tape is amazing and it DOES work. You are doing great. It's okay to cry and get all those emotions out. K-tape has to touch, to keep the energy flowing and you taped them really nicely 💙🩵💙
Aaaw Amanda. God bless you for your devotion to this little foal. I understand your frustration at not getting instant result, but you're right! there definitely is improvement! you had me in tears watching this and I'm praying for you to know you are doing a good job. Remember, when we feel like we don't have the strength we have a loving Heavenly Father who has all the strength you need. Keep on leaning on Him and in time you'll look back and celebrate how far you and Ladybug have come. Big Hugs ❤
Thank you so much! 💜💜 She is improving! And it is so wonderful to see! I keep looking to Him for strength, without Him I am weak. HUGS! Oh, and Ladybug is doing well standing tied. I try not to tie her off hard, so if she does pull back she won't hurt herself.
Kudos to you for fixing her problem when she's young enough for it to be corrected. I've seen so many horses go to slaughter pipeline because of issues that could have been remedied when they were young. So thank you.
You are doing such a phenomenal job caring for not only the rest of the animals, your family and especially this sweet little orphan girl! Her mama left her in great hands! So glad to hear you point out, "Remember, they're still animals". You are so kind and sweet, don't go beating yourself up over what is going down. Thankful for your mentor telling you to document each day, each trip to the little nursery pen. That's the best way to see how far you've come. You're too hard on yourself. And yes, sometimes the journey is straight uphill and daunting. I love the lines "If it don't kill ya, it'll make ya stronger!" and "God never gives us more than we can handle." Sometimes I think He must really have a lot of confidence in me!!! You are strong, stronger than you realize. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. What size shoe do you wear? Are you looking for low backed shoe type, bootie type or boots? Hang in there! You are loved and appreciated more than you know! Thankful for your husband and kids. You are not alone.
Thank you so much! 🤗💜 The freedom it offers to recognize that even though the animals are SO special and important, 'they are still animals'. People will always come first. Even if people are annoying sometimes! 😅😅😅 (haha) I can see much positivity, and so much progress, and yet some days are just still hard. That's part of life. We wake up the next morning, and try to have a better day. Thank you for being part of this journey with me! I wear a size 8. Looking for something maybe ankle height and slip on ideally. Who has time to lace up shoes? 🤔 So thankful for people like you who continue to support me as well! God bless!
Ladybug’s legs have improved!! So exciting!! You’re doing a great job with her!! Can’t wait to see what friend you pair her with!! I’m sure those will be some cute vids too!! It’s definitely ok to take a break for yourself!! You got me tearing up when you were!! I can’t imagine the stress of all of this!! I’m so happy you do have a good support system, starting with your husband and fanning out!! Thank you for always being real and telling us how it is!! You’ve done a fantastic job so far!! I’m proud of you!! Thank you for sharing and sharing the sweet little Ladybug with us too!! 💜💜💜
You're amazing, you know? Thanks for continuing to show up with your support! I truly am okay, just have big feelings sometimes. 😅 I'm excited about a possible friend for her....will definitely be some fun videos. 💜💜💜
You are doing such a great job with beautiful Ladybug, why not try baby goat with her they make great companion buddies for foals Love and support Donna Down Aussie 🇬🇸❤
Lady is so precious, you have the opportunity to be really close to her. The bond between you is stronger when you're being her mom. It will help with everything she learns. The trust she has in you will enhance all interactions with people. Good job❤️
Thank you. Yes, it has really helped her to tame down and look to us more than before. Also comes with struggles with teaching her manners too! Being a horse mom isn't easy!
Any progress is a good thing. You have another roll by Tuesday showing up. Was surprised the delay. If you go to Peavy, formally tractor supply, they have some shoe options. My bloodstone tend to be my go too. Have a good weekend 🇨🇦🦋🌻
Thank you so much for sending another roll! I really appreciate that! Amazon delays are funny sometimes.... and unfortunately most of their stuff is more expensive than just buying it from the feed stores. I will have to look the next time I'm in the town with Peavy Mart! I've heard good things about Bloodstones....maybe I can find them in a store around here.... Have a wonderful weekend! 🌞
Thank you! Learning as we go, and trying to do right by her. It is fantastic that she can still observe and be part of some normal horse social behavior. Hopefully her legs continue to improve! 👏
That is Raven, she is a senior horse. Which makes her a little more susceptible to airway issues. I'm thinking it is a combination of the hay dust, dry and hot summer air, as well as just her age. She doesn't cough a ton, just random fits here and there. Another thing we are keeping an eye on, and I will try to wet down her hay so it isn't as dusty.
I speak Grace,Grace, Grace, and more Grace over you and your family. As far as wondering if what you are doing is working, always remember we walk by faith not by sight. Si even if you cant see it, All things are possible for those who believe. I have found the key to that is not doubting, just believe even when you don't think you can see. You will see it, the Lords hand is there with you. May He keep you at perfect peace in your many journeys in life.
I'm new here and in no way am I being judgey at all, but was curious about the horse next to foal. At 5.30mins. the one over from foal was coughing a lot. Is it maybe sick too or was nothing at all to worry about. Sorry I'm just curious and just concerned a little. Good luck with the foals legs too.
Hey, welcome here. It's an honest question. The one coughing is Raven, she is a senior horse and there can be a few different reasons for a coughing fit. But some big contributors in her case are these: 1. It's hot, dry, and dusty right now. 2. She is eating hay, which is more irritating on the airways than grazing pasture. Similar to humans having a coughing fit cause they swallowed water wrong, it's not something to be concerned about. She doesn't cough like that all the time. HOWEVER, we have noticed her cough occasionally, and so we are keeping an eye on her. She is not sick, though. And the foal isn't sick either, just on small pen rest because of her crooked legs. Hope this helped your curiosity.
