OH. MAH GOWD. I FOUND IT. I FINALLY FOUND IT. I REMEMBER LISTENING TO IT WHEN I WAS LIKE, 7. I OCCASIONALLY SING IT IN MY MY HEAD BUT I NEVER KNEW THE NAME. I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!!!!. I miss this...
agreed. the rock should be renamed to the heavy metal. or the metallica station or something. not nearly enough punk/ pop rock. and most of the other stations just play sam mendes and all that other modern... for lack of a better word... crap...
Many people talk about just the song, but the watercolor rotoscoping is such a visual that I can't believe it's barely talked about. It fits the track so well too.
I rode my motorcycle for two weeks across the western US in summer of 2014. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, California, and back up the coast. For 4000 miles, this song was on heavy rotation. I love this song.
I rode my 2002 Ducati Monster 750. My GF at the time (ex now) rode her 2004 M620; you would think that would be uncomfortable but it wasn't at all. If you ever have the chance, don't pass it up, this was an opportunity of a lifetime and better than any international travel I've ever done. I've got video from the trip on dailymotion, here is a link: www.dailymotion.com/video/x2auo0w_southwest-ducati-monster-road-trip_travel
Met this song through a wise, kind man once, and for some reason i always feel kinda sad hearing it. Now i'll probably cry while listening to it... Rest in peace, Byron... so many memories...
I was absolutely obsessed with this song when I was a kid and I can’t believe how fast time has gone. It randomly popped into my head today and it never gets old!
Rest in peace Reckful. Still not over it. Sometimes I go back to the music he liked & his Twitch streams. I can't watch him the same way, don't think anyone can anymore, but it brings me serenity sometimes because he was that person I could truly emotionally relate to. Watching him made me feel so much better. Just accepting he's gone is still troubling, it's 2022 and it still hits me to this day. To all y'all who watched him or were impacted by it, love ya guys
Man twitch is so bad without reck and those days that brought so much fun and enjoyment... even in the bad times the reck and mitch wow, hearthstone, and pokemon go streams owned.
2022 checking in and still jamming. This song was a huge part of me throughout childhood and now I play it on repeat when I'm on my last set at the gym. thanks ladyhawke!
This was "mainstream" when it came out, as were most of Ladyhawke's singles so I don't really get how this is "digging up treasures". She was signed to major label, had massive promotion/marketing and constant airplay throughout the year of release. Also, this is on VEVO so it's about as "mainstream" as you can get. Why not actually do some digging into independent artists and look outside of RU-vid; there's a lot of excellent music out there, both in the mainstream and otherwise.
actually i'd say it was carried to 1 mill by her fans world-wide and the fact it was #1 on some charts..not to mention an extremely popular hit here in Australia. she's what's known as a "Musician", and a bloody good one at that.
Omg same! Im around your age i think and when she dropped this album i was a freshman and i went on my first date to see ladyhawke live at a free concert and my date ditched me to flirt with other guys lmaoo. This song is so good tho and tbh all her albums since has been pretty solid. She takes me back to high school
My second year of college in NZ, haha oh man, this is one of the first songs that I ever really got into. When I was younger I was never really passionate about music until I was about 13, and this is one of the first songs that clicked in my head, and I just had to find out what it was. It was a feeling I never really had before then, but I'll remember this song helping me develop my first real interest in music
i would hate to live in the middle of the city. i hate that sort of thing. too many people, too much traffic, too high prices etc. country roads for me.
First place I encountered this song was the soundtrack for Colin Mcrae: Dirt 2. Long since forgotten the game, but this track is such a tune, its stayed with me ever since.
Snutz winning the makgora tournment on this and say he does it for reckful had me tears up. We doing it for the lost ones. Keep grinding 💪 Légends never dies
Just seen her play live at the Spring City Music Festival, damn she is Cosmos, Ladyhawks set was off the scale and her band the keyboard player and his UniMog Korg , it was like we were in space
I remembered this was a song from 2008 and I've basically been looking for it ever since. Didn't know English at that point in my life so I kept trying to find it on google under "Riffs that sound like Can't Stop by RHCP". Jesus. about 12 years of searching. over half my life. I'm not even happy, kinda sad that this a chapter of my past now
heard that song yesterday with my GF in a clothes shop... we loved the sound. I SHAZAMMED the song and... it was of 2008... Me and my GF went together in 2007, during the EMO fashion time and after a long period of good punk and rock music... we heard the sound of our history ... great song!
I seem to always forget this time, but then every couple of years I start singing it in my head and find myself back here. Like it’s deeply engraved in my sub conscious somewhere somehow
Omg it's ten years from this song. Those times were so great and the music back then. All this indie kinda music was so good, and many band grow big from being only indie. I was a teenager and clubbing for the first times and this was also playing. I love I have this kinda songs to remember. Brings me back ten years.
I used to venture into the city (Sydney) whilst high on ____ ; listening to this. It was great. Especially during the vivid festival. Listening to this, watching the town hall being lit-up like crazy, it was great. Nobody ever bothered me, even though I was high as a kite. Great memories.
This song brings great memories when I was 25 years old. The era when I had disposition to go to the parties and sleep at my friends' house. I miss it❤
