Los Angeles Fire Department and LA County Fire Department were called out to the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Stocker Street for reports of a brush fire. First arriving units found a half acre of brush burning in the Kenneth Hahn Park area. The fire spread to about 1 acre until firefighters and helicopters from both LAFD and LACoFD kept the fire under control. No structural damage and reports of injuries occurred.

Awesome footage! Great to see so much manpower. Boy wildland Firefighting must be tedious tough work but at the same time honest and enjoyable - stood there cutting that line in the heat, smoke and itchy vegetation as helicopters fly over and people all around you work.

You haven’t truly lived until you’ve inhaled poison oak into the lungs....or gotten exposed to it from the smoke alone. Not fun...

Great job. Any idea where the helicopters got there water from ? I live in the area. Also, the hand crews, are they LACO full firefighters or a different designation ?

7:35 This has to be the most dangerous area. I used to ball at that park right there on La Brea, and Stocker. North one block of this you have Jungles( Some of the craziest bloods), To the east you have overhill crips, and 60's, south of la brea is NHP & Inglewood family bloos, queen street. Too many gangs. Glad i left ladera heights 11 years ago.
