Los Angeles Fire Department units were dispatched to a reported structure on the 1100 block of E 50th St. All of 21s arrived on scene reporting vegetation to the rear on fire. Upon further investigation a large detached garage was well involved.
Battalion 13 took 50th St IC, 21s hit the fire from the A side while Engine 14 took it from the B side. Rescue 833 assisted Engine 14.
Firefighters navigated around downed wires to achieve a quick knockdown. Per neighbors the structure had been vacant for years.
