Lagavulin - through the eyes of Iain McArthur 

Iain made our tour! He is amazing. It was our honeymoon and my husbands 40th and Iain had everyone sing happy birthday to my husband and let me extract the 35 year old whisky from the barrel. What an amazing experience. WE are going back this year for our first anniversary. Make sure if you take the tour of Lagavulin you take the warehouse tour and meet Iain and sample whiskies from 5-35 years old. Iain is lagavulin!

Thank you Iain McArthur for providing the best quality and service around the Lagavulin distillery and especially the Lagavulin 16yo, which is my favourite. The nose, taste and 'feeling' of a Lagavulin 16yo is what makes it perfect. Keep it up!

Yours (Mr. 16) was my first Isla. I have tried the others - but they are not anywhere near as brilliant. This "IS" by far my favorite whisky. Thank you so much for your dedication to providing the world with the best damn whisky ever.

Love this video - so wonderfully earthbound without the bullshit ~ I do indeed like Lagavulin ~ or certainly did in the past ~ it is perhaps for me now a wee bit too idiosyncratic ~ but a fine drink that everyone who loves good malts should at least give a go !! - slàinte ... ~ those historic pics of Iain are a gem!

Great whisky but the 16 over 70 pound now abit over my budget so mainly stick to Laphroaig and Talisker.

So, you basically have a baby Lagavulin, a ladies dram, and Lagavulin 16yo. Not sure about the drop of water, though. If it was Lagavulin water, perhaps...
