I noticed you go right to left in the demo. Shouldn't you go left to right so you keep footprint of left wheel? Or does that not matter? Also how tight should you tighten motor and fan belts. Thanks in advance.

Hi on the drum pressure setting do i have to adjust it on lower for grid 36 and medium adjust for grid 80 and top adjust for grid 100? Thanks

I'm looking for a Hummel to buy, unfortunately you did not remove the handle and the motor for a full review of the machine. Just wanted to know if it's quick to remove those parts, for stairs climbing.

That happen cose u buy a hammer nat a bona super 8 .alots of problems with new version of hammel not worted .i have a new hammel sander its just problems nathin like old version .dont recommended

hi can you help me ? when i sander it break down the sandpaper .today i sand the floor it broke the sandpaper more than 10 time. please tell me what's going on ?and how to fix it? thanks

i would guess your paper is not tracking or you are hitting a nail or some debris on floor.also if you have sanded some old wax type finish off or a floor covering off like a carpet pad stuck down, glue, or linoleum you could have a dirty upper roller or drum. this would cause a tracking problem or the paper being too tight and making it break. good luck

I worked with clark .apolo .bona and galaxy .u can sand left to rigth or rigth to left it doesnt mater .agood machine is a good machine .dont recoment hummel new version

you sand from left to right , not like you showed here , the cutting side is where you open the cover to change the belt

You sand left to right with the Hummel because of the positioning of the wheels not because it cuts harder on the right side. The right wheel is set slightly to the left of the drum so that the drum is cutting the uneven surface of the wood first and the wheel is following behind it, this is more of an issue on newly installed floors or a floor with cupping. If you run the machine in the opposite direction (right to left) the left wheel would be rolling over the un-even surface first causing the machine to rock before the drum & sand paper get to it. The drum itself has a slight even tapper like an American football, if it's set up properly it should be cutting evenly on both sides of the drum. There's a simple diagram in the owners manual that explains this..
