My wife and I visited Stresa and the Barromean Islands In May 1967. There was hardly anyone there and it was not as built up as today. It was my first trip then to Europe... what a beautiful introduction. We went on to Locarno on the end of Lago Maggiore in Switzerland. We stayed there in a German speaking Inn on the mountains. Italian was spoken in the town of Locarno down below. Best vacation ever.
You maybe mean Bosco-Gurin, it is the only German-speaking village in Canton Ticino (an Italian-speaking region of Switzerland). But in this images it's the Italian side of Lake Maggiore, in Piedmont.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful video along with a nice choice of relaxing music! Definitely on our list of places to visit when we return to Italy for our next trip.
