Excelente muy bueno lo mejor del mundo te lo dice el brey de la salsa amigo desde Barranquilla Colombia mucho cuidado con la barriguita jajaj saludos 🤗🐠🐠🐠🐠
Thanks for documenting that. We are looking at buying a house soon and I am sure that if I go custom you, Tom and Ania will be the people involved every step of the way. Speaking of which. I may be coming down to the store tomorrow. Itching for a few new little pieces now that I have a bit more space. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Today we moved a RSR 350 from one room in a house to another, it was better than a custom tank relocation because the plumbing is more simple to remove and put back. Good luck with your move! Cam
Thanks Cam, was eating lunch when you opened that sand container now I'm not hungry again. That said, been going through a bit of this lagoon syndrome myself, as my 200 gallon tank leaked, and everything went into a 300 gallon oval lagoon, difference I don't have a replacement tank although the upside is I did kind of aquascape the lagoon a bit, so it does look kind of nice inside, even if the outside is that dark grey look. Although I didn't care that much about jumpers if they jump they jump.
@Stephen Dobs agree. Take a look of how I moved the tank. Let me know if yours looks similar size. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k5SKw0QO9Pg.html
The clients are really involved in this tank. In fact, I think it’s fair to say the whole house was built around the position planned for the aquarium😂 Cam
This was interesting and completely absorbing from start to finish! Especially as I’m faced with a tank tear down and contents relocation in the next two weeks. 😳 Another excellent video! 👍🏻👍🏻
I moved a similar sized setup before F me, I’ll never do it again, I’m downsizing when I move. The electricity I spend :( the salt I spend :( , I’m a coral man and am mastering fishless sps low maintenance, aged live rock, kalkwaser , just a couple snails , :)
Interested in the coral only. Never tried it but sounds pretty nice. I'm guessing u would dose no3 n po4 then right? I need to move 40gal innovative fusion n just ugh. I have buckets but love just moving into another tank lol. So much easier then emptying, moving, n refilling and stocking etc but all part of the hobby lol
Currently I haven’t needed to, I run no skimmer or filtration. I put a flake of food in every week. 50% water change per week, kalkwasser for top off , does alk and calc balance. Done :). Mind u I’ll have to go two part as I add more coral. I just turn on the hose, no buckets or salt mixing, just get nsw delivered. I’d say 20 mins a week effort. Too early to call how it would work as coral load increases, I have nitrate and pho’s that I dose my main tank with, which is a fine art. I rather heavy feed heavy skim. There more in food than just nitrate and pho’s, my sps often feed on fish food bits as well as fish poop.
@@jestronixhanderson9898 nice! Thanks for the reply. Just hooked up my dosing pumps like week ago for 2 part. I've noticed folks getting into the coral only and started wondering how was working out. Sounds very low maintenance tho lol. Cant say hate the sound if that with 2 40 gal going. Could be better and be 2 120s 😁
That’s a lot of work and a lot of experience and I think I do a mistake that you don’t make i use old sand on my new tank he was not a smell at all but kill my corals and still not recovered for four months ago I think was the sand problem I use one bucket of old sand i storage for a big tank that I used to have what a mistake i which I see this video earlier but thank you for sharing and I learned a lesson
It’s an easy mistake to make. Even water left in a chiller for a period of time can go anoxic and kill fish if it gets into the tank. Given the cost of sand it was an easy choice to replace it with this job. Cam
Yes I think you’re right I should pay attention but I’m doing every other week water change to establish the tank and I’m also vacuum the sand bed every time I do water change this is for my 55 gallons tank I do 10 gallons every other week try to resolve my problem and I lose 90% of my corals it’s a sad thing😞
@Cam I have a question related to cooling the tank water. For a 250L tank + sump that is always 3* Celsius over the room temp what is the best approach to keep the temp under 28 considering that in the summer the room temp can be over 27* Celsius all day/night(and tank 30+) ? Only fans / chiller + AC /just AC / your custom strategy ? What would be the best approach considering initial cost / energy consumption and the other constraints (efficiency , space , noise etc) Thanks !
Hi, we almost always go with a chiller. The new Tecos are very energy efficient and heat as well as chill. They do exhaust hot air, so sometimes we position them outside, but air conditioning the room the tank is in is also a good fix. We did a video on these chillers at Reef Royale a few weeks ago. Cam
