I live inside the estate. The security is #1 for us. If u noticed the houses don't have locked gates or high fences bcos of the requirements. We also have a alternative route that leads to Sangotedo in case Badore and Addo roads are congested. We have a good system of govt runs by our elected excos that runs 2 years tenure. Well, having a degree as a criteria is to sieve between the wheat and the chaffs. We have phase one and two and u only went to phase one.

I really like the estate and the fact that the drainage system seems very elaborate. My question is why are the drains not covered and why do they seem to be filled and stagnant

The estate would have great if the roads were tarred rather than inter-locked bc they don’t last especially if cars are driving on them all the time. Also home owners should be mandated to repaint their houses to keep up the beauty of the estate. Otherwise it’s ok, but could be even better. Thanks for showing us.

I don’t think these are the interlocked tiles you’re talking about. These are more like cobblestones and last for hundreds of years. Plus it gives it a more old and classy look. It goes with the neighborhood. I hope they keep its personality. I really miss seeing places like this in Nigeria. Everything else just looks shiny and tacky.

Well done Tolu. another lovely video. I know someone who has a property here. He said there is zero crime in the estate, because bandits know the estate is full of retired military men, with g#ns. Btw. 've noticed you call all plants flowers. I think only flowering plants should be called flowers. Other landscapping plants are just called plants.

If you live in that estate you will understand the reason for those criterias and actually realise that, for them to achieve what they have in that estate it could have only been done with those criterias.

@@olamidashovito5613👌 when you live in gated communities like this one, one would understand the possible reason(s) for such a requirement. Although a degree is not an indicator of civil behavior especially taking care of one's environment and cooperating with others on simple rules that keeps a community like this one going and effective. I am an advocate of children being taught about care for immediate from kindergarten until tertiary level.

Once again good video, I am in Manchester UK. But I'm not sure about the lifestyle offer of the immediate environment. I mean proximity to shopping malls, quality restaurants, leisure,etc and Security and connectivity to other parts of Lekki axis❓ Finally, have been told there is s fair degree of cult criminal activity. I've heard of Badore, but was told it's a no go at 🌃 night or early evening.

There are several Malls along the Ajah-Badore road. There are also filling stations, Banks, Shops and even a market. There are other residentially estates around. The major issue is there is usually traffic moving out of Ajah into the Lekki - Epe expressway and moving into Ajah -Badore road from the Lekki-Epe Expressway especially during the peak hours due to the population density around the area.

Open-drainage system in Nigeria is not a good thing. It is time we find a lasting solution to it.

You people are very funny. You do what works for you, not what works in other places just for a sense of aesthetics alone. The few places with underground drainage in Lagos like in Gowon Estate has been a disaster with consistent damage to the roads due to flooding and have to be repaired annually, which is not sustainable in a country as Nigeria. Underground drainages will be choked in no time while open drainages are easily maintained.

@@amosadewuni460 New Orleans and Amsterdam are below the deal level and they get flooded much more than Lagos,there is zero reason to have open gutters,especially when the residents are paying annual maintenance fees

@@amosadewuni460 Who told you that? The areas usually flooded are areas with open drainage. Victoria Garden City is underground drainage and it is not flooding.

@@ToluNazzal Okay, ma'am. It is clear open-drainage system is responsible for some of the flooding in some parts of Lagos because they are clogged and have become a rubbish dump ground for people. In fact, they are polluting our water ways. At least they should be covered.

You have to look at the location of the Estate, towards the end of Badore. Ajah-Badore is really not an highbrow area in Lagos. So by the area standard it is still fair.
