It's nice to hear that the Chinese are going to be the one in charge of this project mainly but we Nigerians also need to learn how to do these things.. Well corruption is another thing 🤷‍♂️

It's not about him building Lagos; he layed the foundation in which other governors follows. I remembered in his tenure when he started the opening up of the so called lekki axis in 2008 from marina. Nothing was in that axis;except Cheron office and VGC. But now you can see development in that axis. The only estate there then was Jakande estate. When do go for Lekki sunsplash in the late 90's. The federal government has not done any major projects in Lagos after 3rd Mainland bridge. Show me any other project by the federal government in Lagos before Apc era that brought Lagos ibadan rail and the Lagos_ibadan express construction

If this move is not political, how I wish this project can be handled by a Nigerian construction company. Imagine the number of employment that will create, imagine how many family will be fed, imagine the tax that will enter back in to government covers etc. One day we shall get there sha.

A very good development. When the construction reaches Lagos/Ibadan Exp way via Owutu/Isawo as proposed, the Road Builder should kindly remember to build a link road and a bridge on Ogun river to connect Agbado-Station in Ogun State to the 4th mainland bridge. Ogun river is barrier to free movement in Lagos and Ogun States; Berger bridge should not be the only crossing point.

@Channels Tv please help make this one of your matters Arising- I want to firmly suggest that Lagos is too advanced to remain being a city with low level buildings- I mean Flat houses. Please let the Lagos state government demolish houses especially those that are close to the sea, and official areas and help build High-rising houses and sky scrappers.. however those that would be affected would be compensated. It's just too obvious and ridiculous that Lagos being a 21st century city does not have standard and enough sky scrappers and high rising buildings. Apart from the Eko Atlantic being built...there is much of sky scrappers and high rising buildings to be done on the Lagos mainland amd highland.

I pray, in the name of Jesus, that THIS project will be completed in spite of political, economical and other unseen but inevitable factors before the year 2030. It would be a great boost to the economy of Lagos State in every way especially for the "new Lagos" area and Nigeria as a whole.

Do not believe these type of Political leaders and politicians : This is MISPLACED PRIORITY despite Lagos being richest state in Nigeria. Investment in Manufacturing/Production for Export, to generate more money, put monies in people’s pockets, alleviate poverty is first - you invest in 24hr cheap Electricity first, then Manufacturing/Production from Cottage Industries by individuals and Homesteads /Families/Cooperatives/etc for Export to get $,€,£, etc

Awesome project! Africa rising. It doesn't matter who the contractors are. Chinese or Russian or whoever. It matters not. Living in America I know that the Chinese are building infrastructure projects in the USA, with outstanding performance and delivery time, and I say why not . They're probably the best in the world right now when it comes to infrastructure projects execution even those American companies cannot handle. The Chinese are executing projects in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and of course in the Middle East, pretty much all over the world. With a project of this magnitude and cost you go for the best not second rate firm. Kudos to the Lagos state government!

This is more of political strategy to return to power, this government does not have the will power to carry out and complete the project. A real genuine gov don't have to the public to explain. These are people who don't care about the mass, look at this Sanwo Olu did to EndSars protesters, I wonder if people still want carry with such a heartless governor .

This is why i always challenge Tinubu supporters who said that Tinubu built Lagos to mention any critical known projects built by Tinubu in his 8 years as two term Governor. IBB built 3rd mainland bridge. Tinubu the self acclaimed foresight leader didn't see all these problems? It was in Fashola's time atleast impact of Government was felt then through Ambode to now. Tinubu supporters will say Tinubu drew the master plan. How can you use 8 years to draw only plans? Isn't that ridiculous?

The longest bridge in the world (165) kilometers in China was built just under four years.....this one that is just (37)kilometers is taking good five years why?

Jamaica built 68 km of multiple carriage way North South highway through the impregnable Blue Mountains for $760m, yes MILLION dollars for 68KM. Lagos thieves are building 8km single bridge for $1.5B, BILLION dollars for only 8KM. Judge for yourself and weep.

Very poor design

Tolling the 4MB for 40 years is creating retirement benefit for APC boys. Any project that has a 40 year repayment period is not a viable business by any standards.

It's a SHAME having ANALOG thinking people as our leaders. The bridge is NOT even futuristic.

Lagos is the light of Nigeria, lagos has shown that women can become great managers as men, tinubu laid the foundation amongst many others. This is a good omen for our system when wonen are equally empowered.
