Laguna Road Trip No. 24 Santa Cruz, Laguna's Capital Town, The Land of Star.
Santa cruz is a 1st class municipality and capital of the province of Laguna, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 123,574 people.
Santa Cruz is situated on the banks of the Santa Cruz River which flows into the eastern part of Laguna de Bay. The town is bounded by the Bay on the north, by Lumban and Pagsanjan towns in the east, Pagsanjan and Magdalena towns in the south, and Pila in the west.
The provincial capital of Laguna, Santa Cruz serves as service center of the province particularly for the municipalities on its north-eastern part.

Sana nga po mabago na ang criteria para maging city ang isang bayan. Taasan nila yung standard...hinde lang sa income or population... Ang dami ng city sa pinas. City citihan lang naman. Puntahan mo, Isa ang main road, masikip pa. Walang ilaw mga kalsada sa gabi, walang sidewalk, walang parks. Drainage barado palyado..Nag ka Jollibee, Mercury drug, BDO lang..city na..hehehe..

Marami Factory sa Laguna pero hinde pa gaanong develop ang lugar...kulang sa Laguna yong mga luxurious Hotels and Casino...wala din taxi..mukha pa talaga probinsiya boss...tapos dami pang trikes

Paanong mukhang probinsya pa talaga? Eh talaga naman probinsya ang Laguna. Sa mga pamilyar at kabisado ang buong Laguna. Alam nila na ang western part ng probinsya ay Industrial. Nandyan ang mga industrial and science parks at big time real estate development due to their location na kalapit ng metro Manila. Ang parteng south at east eh majority green, agricultural, rice fields, farms, mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, handicrafts, historical sites, old churches..So ang Santa Cruz eh nasa Southeast, green pa agricultural. So talagang probinsya..sino ba may sabi na city. Na ala Makati at BCC..hehehe..daming city sa pinas. Pero city cityhan lang..ni walang parks, sidewalk, palyadong drainage system, etc..Mabuhay po tayo

Bakit ginagamit nyong adjective ang word na "probinsya" when referring to rural areas? lol A province can be as rural as a farm or as urban as NCR. A province is an administrative area, hindi farm lol
