I have been recently following your RU-vid videos on Lahore and other places in Pakistan. I am now 80 years old and so you can imagine I could be less than 6 years when I left Lahore but I still have strong remembrance of the time spent there. My 'Mama' had a shop in Anarkali Bazaar and we used to stay at Ghaa Mandi end. I remember the chickmakers at end of Anarkali and their art of making chicks. On the other end of Anarkali was a T end where left road led to the Railway Station and the right one I don't know where. We left in July after locking the house and hoping to return when things quietened down. This, of course never happened. Life moves with time. Accept life peacefully as it comes. It'll be difficult to understand for generations to come what it was like before 1947. God Bless.

My memory of Lahore takes back when my father served in Lahore for a brief period .He served in the British India Army depot as a stores officer.I remember him telling stories of Lahore of which a particular incident which required him to travel to Madras to attend the Shradh ceremony of my grandfather.He took fifteen days of leave of which fourteen days entailed travel seven days to reach and seven days to return only spend a day in Madras.He also used to tell me out of his salary of 60 rupees he was able to save 30 rupees.old memories.

Very good information my mother used to praise Lahore as she studied n my nanaji was an advocate they shifed from Jhelum to lahore n brought their house address was 28 fann road now I think their address is changed wl u pl let us knows the new name v heard their house shifted to State bank of Pakistan as my mama visited their friends had invited it's long time ago very sentiment scene thanks a lot wl love to see Lahore it's beautiful as my relatives used to discuss their childhood without any day

God bless you beta for showing Lahore station. My parents used to tell me how they came on 10th August, 1947 early morning at 5 a.m from Shalmi Darwaaja with the help of a Muslim tongawala. My father was sick and had undergone an operation and he was recovering and for that reason they got delayed. Our entire family is very grateful to that tongawala. God bless him. My parents are no more. I, myself, is 74 years old. Please show me Krishna Gali area and if possible my nanaji's house. His name was Mr Dharamchand Varmani. Please also show my Dadaji's house. It was at Shalmi Darwaaja. And Dadaji's name was Harnamdass Arora. God bless you and your family. When I watch your videos - at times I cry. Thanks a lot. Inshaallah.
