A business has the right to close anytime it wants. You have been given the proper compensation and separation base on law. I know it sucks for you but that is life of an employee. You don't own the business you sell your time for a salary only.

Pag naretain kayo pano sahod niyo during renovation ng hotel? Ilang months yan or a yr na renovation

Maybe they are attached to their jobs na kasi some of them work their for years, decades. Maybe sofitel closure due to unpaid debts that is continuely growing. Better to close cause the property/land is not owned by sofitel so they could not sell the proterty to liquify their asset. So better to discontinue operation. Just my specs!

meron naman pala seperation pay, hindi naman bawal yan karapatan yan ng employer kng gusto pa nya kayo eh hire pag tapos ng renovation basta binayaran kayo ng tama at walng kulang.
