@@DanielsPerspective I think it's in the demographics that vote. Do you watch the voice. Look who won this week. A country singer. They have old people, young girls and country fans voting. I also read AA was encouraging his fans to not vote for him. He didn't want to be in that idol contract. He is now much more free to do what he wants. Laine represents Disney well. I think lots of the shows are a little questionable. How did Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson lose. They are more successful then the winners. Maybe whoever was watching on those views did not vote. I liked both. They are in different genres and both should have great careers.

@@DanielsPerspective Did you catch the masked singer last night. Another really great singer from idol was on there, Chris Daughtry. He didn't win idol either and is really good. It's just the demographics that vote. When you have old people, young girls, and the country vote, thats almost everyone. You see it on dancing with the stars too. People vote popularity. Often the best dancers don't win. Ultimately it comes down to what you do after the show. Like Lambert, Hudson, and Daughtry. Lots of unhappy people about the voice this week. Listen to the 3 that lost.

@@DanielsPerspective To say Laine didnt deserve it and AA was BETTER is an opinion. I thought AA was awesome. Actually a field of his own, likely. But for me and my preference of every day listening.. I choose Laine. He also has his own "sound" and FOR ME, more relatable music and variations. Again, FOR ME. And clearly many others. AA would be someone I would listen to in a particular MOOD or in a mix of other music. He's very talented for sure.

@@anneoftheisland60 The way he is; don't you want him to improve on his performances, every entertainer should strive to be better as they go along. I love his performances on AI but I like to think that Laine can do much better. How can he become a sensation to be known across the USA if he don't resolve to be good in his music career. I am hoping that he will soon be featured in a magazine with a countrywide distribution not just in a store's complimentary magazine. Kelly and Carrie were featured in so many magazines after they won the AI, so that is also what I want for Laine.

@@nina1823 Got to be a lot for a shy person as young as he is. His brother said also becoming an instant celebrity is tough too. Some of the biggest stars took many years to get to where he is already. I hope with family and good people around him he can handle the money and fame and not change.

@Tee Cee I agree. Think of George Strait and Alan Jackson. People forget he won at age 18. He is really young. Every concert he gets more experience. Stage presence improves with experience. He just needs to be himself. That's why he won. Other genres of music may lead to more moving around.
