Man, its really disappointing that there are passionate, creative employees at SFG who are drug down by utterly sub-par editing. That page placeholder miss is rookie level, and its nowhere close to their first oversight. Products like these are solid, I own all the EE line, but their QA makes me shy away from bigger products like monster hunter or resident evil.
It is a shame to see mistakes like this, or the error with the section on the t-rex nest in the Cave of the Manticore set (to name just two recent examples), but besides all the RPG stuff I own a fair amount of Steamforged Games products - Dark Souls, Godtear, Monster Hunter, Euthia - and it's all really great stuff that I enjoy immensely.
Thank you for your knowledge. Does epic encounters fit with Hero Quest? I have Hero quest adding new adventures. Looking for more monsters and caricatures to add alway. Thank you again.
The smaller characters are on 25mm bases, which fit on a square on the HeroQuest board. Larger enemies are on 50mm bases, so they are going to sprawl across four squares. This drider is on a massive 100mm base, and is going be larger than a lot of the rooms on the HeroQuest board!
Afraid I don't have the miniatures to do those comparisons for you, but the Steamforged drider is on a 100mm base, so that should give you some idea of the scale.
Nightmares indeed! I have a very spindly umber hulk that I didn't pack with sufficient care for transport one time. I still get shudders. How sturdy is the plastic on this, do you think?
It's not really rubbery plastic, but it has a lot more flex than Games Workshop stuff. I think it would take a considerable fall for anything to snap off.
@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring So, I have the hydra, and I dropped him. That was on a hardwood floor, and two heads snapped off. A little superglue and they popped right back on, with no visible damage.
The hydra is a bit chonkier, so it probably has a lot less flex in it too. Did the plastic actually break or did the heads come out at the connection points where it was factory assembled?
