Malayali brothers dont mistaken us if we say the original one is tamil. Most of the tamil people dont know this song is dubbed from malayalam. This song was huge hit in tamilnadu. So please forgive some of us for saying tamil is original. Malayalam is the original version

@@seekzugzwangful That's the right spelling alle.. but it has changed to Jazzy Gift in many places so wasn't sure which one he was using right now... 😁😂😍
This song released on 2004 when i was studying in 12th. This was a fresh opening ever in malayalam music world because we never heard such kind of different voice of a singer and music as our own. Think, that time there was no social media, you tube, Internet phones and 100 music TV channels but still it crossed all the records. This song translated in Tamil, Telugu, Singhala as well and reached in higher levels there too. That time when we switched on our Radios, travelling in line buses, attending marriage functions, temple festivals, school functions etc this song was conquering all over. Now you may think what is special in it. Yes, after all the hype we were also thinking what happened to us😃. It was nothing but we got something new. Because very few fast songs were released in Malayalam which were sung by Mr. MG sreekumar before Lajjavathi. As everyone knows Malayalam is a tough language and not that much flexible for music. Then the controversy started, who is best singer? Jassie Gift or the great K J yesu das. All the traditional music directors were started talking about Jassie Gift and they were claiming that he will destroy Malayalam music. But the poor man continues with the trend by releasing his next few more songs in the same way. All were disappointing and very soon his music era ended almost in Malayalam. Then he tried to come back with traditional type music and few songs were super hit but Malayalam audience didn’t support him as before. Lesson learned: Update yourself on right time.
This song is extremely popular in all the four south indian languages, the Telugu version malleshwarive has more views than the Malayalam original , it shows how crazy we were for this song lmao♥️♥️
Trend setting song, in fact all songs of this movie was super hit, the movie itself is a trend setter and huge success people even walked in groups of 4 😍😍😍
This original version seems sweeter, more mellow and more melodic. Which I also like. But I'm biased towards the Tamil version coz that's the one I always knew. He sounded more mischievous and there was more ooompf! There was a lot of punch in his diction.

Those actors and most of the production team thought that Jassie Gift was just singing the track and someone else will sing it for real in the movie. Most of the backstage people hated it for the first time, but the more they listened to it, it became an earworm. These types of songs are common in Tamil and Telugu, but malayali ears are tuned for mellow songs. Many behind the scene people wrote this off as a flop. When the song was released for real, it became an instant hit. I have the CD and magnetic cassette of this song.
Thanks for selecting this song .... I also suggested this song for a very long time.... Being a tamilian, i love this song so much both in Tamil and Malayalam 💕💕💕💕
There was no Internet about 95% no cell phones . No memory card to store . No RU-vid. But this song was sensational at its peak when it was released 👏 ❤️

In the UK, my friends and I (all malayalis) went to a Tamil hosted party. This song played - we all sang the original Malayalam version out loud and danced only to later realise our Tamil buddies were confused as we were singing the same song but in different languages 😂
